It’s brilliant yeah, I don’t want to give anything even remotely spoiler-ish so I shan’t discuss it until later when more people have seen it but…

Having never seen a 4DX film before I was quite shocked when the seat started vibrating like I was sat over the wheel on the bus… then when the whole thing started moving like I was on a rollercoaster I could’ve peed! It actually really added to the whole experience and I highly recommend if you’ve not done it

Yeah I think 4DX is really fun. There is an argument that the moving around and effects actually take you out of the film but I don't think that's true myself

The only downside is that I think 3D itself is pretty crap/lame nowadays, particularly the light loss that occurs

But overall yes, 4DX UP!

At the end of the credits is gave thanks to a list of actors including Drew Barrymore and Hayden Panettiere amongst others! I wondered if there were cameos I didn’t spot but can’t see they’d list them at the end. I’m not sure what the thanks was for though otherwise!

I watched all 4 films again after listening to the podcast! Such a good episode you two 👏 😍 Going to see it this afternoon and cannot wait!!

I used to think i favoured Scream 2 but the original is just untouchable and Scream 4's twist ending/killer was just SO good! 1>4>2>3

Watching this tomorrow afternoon. I have seen the original Scream countless times including a Halloween cinema screening last year, 2 a few times, never seen 3 and only saw 4 once at the cinema.

Can you tell me if I need to watch/rewatch any tonight to understand this?

It's SUCH a clever thing to include, and a real gift to the fandom

I feel so bad for all of Gale’s iconic looks and lines it’s the fringe that is constantly referenced 😅

I loved it. Early days but its better than 3/4 and possibly 2, I'd have to see it a few more times.

The best of the new cast was definitely Mindy/the new female Randy.

Well hardly but I guess that’s what they were trying to go for. It made the “torture porn” critique in 4 look like GOLD.

I am just back from this. Enjoyed it but not overly overly impressed.

The younger of the sisters is good, the older one not so if you ask me.

In the earlier ones you got a bit more invested in the characters as it went on, this one you are introduced to them and then its slash slash slash till the end :o

See that was my criticism of 3 and 4 but I really didn’t feel this here.

Apart from Liv, for me that’s not a valid criticism here.

I spotted this straight away, I thought it was SLAP BANG on the screen for quite a while, surprised people didn't notice :D

Yeah I was kinda underwhelmed by it (should have tempered those expectations!) but it still pleased me so much more than most horror offerings these days.

The opening scene was pretty meh (I was hoping that it would be a surprise and not from anything/anyone featured in the trailer) but i guess having nobody die was unexpected, as was Sydney's non appearence in the post title card scene (my heart sank) The first third/half of the film was a bit of a chore as I didn’t think the new characters were worth caring about (I think the Fear Street films did it SO much better) but it definitely improved as it went on and i loved the finale.

Hated CGI Skeet as well as the fact that the trailer pretty much made it obvious Dewey died (thought the right call if it had to be any of them!).

Was totally expecting Liv to be related to Sidney (i was kinda expecting the reveal to be that Sid had a baby in between Scream 1 and 2 that she put up for adoption since she couldnt face the possibility of raising Billy's kid :D)

My favorite part was the Ju-dy & Wes scene which was very Final Destination with all the fake out moments, particularly loved Ghostface's pronunciation of her name.

Also can i just say i fucking hated The Babadook! :argh:
