That's the guy who designed the clutch bag for her remix album and has done some other design stuff for her. He was also asking about urgent blood donations on his story :( God, this is absolutely devastating.

Yeah, I don't think he would make this up - weirdly enough one of my best friends went to school with him, he's pretty firmly ensconced in her inner circle these days. I really can't believe this :(
 
I am absolutely heartbroken. It was amazing to have someone openly trans, openly fuck-you about it and ploughing her own furrow so successfully. What the absolute fuck? She was only 34.
 
I'm stuck at work and can't read Twitter but a lot of people are saying it has been confirmed by close friends (without saying who they are, which would be normal in the circumstances).
 
Yeah, enough people that were close to her are posting about it that I don't think it can be false at this point, sadly.
 
Munroe Bergdorf posted a tribute, I really don’t think she’d do this without a valid source.

 
I can't see any tweets but Mixmag are saying it was "a sudden accident" in Athens.
 
That's 3 then. Three public figures I had never met whose death took me to tears. John Peel, Mark E Smith and now SOPHIE.
 
Can we amend the thread title to "SOPHIE DEAD" given that she always styled herself in uppercase letters?

I know it's fiddling with the minutiae but I can't think what else to do.
