Spain 2025: Melody - Esa Diva (1 Viewer)

Sonia Basseda (Madoc) (born on October 23, 1974) and Selena Leo (born on August 23, 1975) formed Sonia & Selena in 2000. They tried out to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 but were not selected. Their debut album Yo quiero bailar received gold and platinum certification in Spain, Latin America and Europe and sold over 1,000,000 copies.

Despite their successes, the group disbanded in the spring of 2002 due to their constant fights.

Objectively speaking, this line up is a bit of a disaster when the most famous names are people who were runners up in the 2001 and 2009 NFs :D but personally speaking, it seems like a list chock-full of lowest common denominator female dance-pop so :disco:

Seems to be some early hype about this one, and I can definitely see it being a hit with the sane and reserved Spanish fans. It's impactful but I think it might be the kind of thing that Eurovision fans spend months convincing themselves that the general public enjoys much more than it actually does:

I can only hope that Sonia & Selena's live vocals are either miraculously competent or unprecentedly appalling.
