Spice Girls - C U Next Tuesday (LEAKED IN FULL) (1 Viewer)

The very thought of listening to a new Spice Girls song over and over and over again in 2022 :disco:

I feel ready to watch some Sunset Beach on channel 5 and read some Planet Sound on channel 4 teletext now.

The Mercury Music Prize could never have overlooked Spice with this jam spread long and wide on it. It's put me in a total summer '96 haze.

Weirdly, Victoria and Mel C really don't excell on this track (not that I'd take them off it). GEM up :disco:

STOP
SLOW DOWN
BE A RIGHT CUNT
*laughs*

How it could have opened.

Gave this another spin tonight, it's very Deee-Lite influenced (Smile On, Try Me On ... I'm Very You) in terms of production and, yes, Lilly Allen does indeed owe it all to Emma here. Apart from Emma's vocal bliss and Geri nailing the talking parts on her 12th take, the rest doesn't keep afloat, but they clearly should have worked on these bits a little bit more.

"Not gonna listen to your likely story" is the perfect partner to "do your searching until you're down" - why keep on denying if you think otherwise frankly :disco:

The 2:20 ish instrumental is more haunting than the hate over pity cravings of Naked.

I love it. Definitely my fave unreleased track from the Spice album. It gives me Prince's Kiss, it would have stuck out if it was used in the end though.
I like how it shows a cheeky different side of what they were experimenting with back then whilst trying to find their "sound" and it would have made a much better b-side than, say Baby Come Round or One OF These Girls, don't @ me but it's the truth.
