Oh no. No. That's dreadful. Honestly, that man made so many great records and he was absolutely One Of The Good Ones, someone who owned the mistakes of his edgelord youth and spoke out when he saw injustice, which was almost everywhere he looked. A key figure in the DIY culture and someone who is all over my record collection. RIP Steve. Too soon. Way too soon.
 
Gutted. An absolute hero and renowned curmudgeon. A good proportion of my favourite all time records would not exist without him. Fortunate to have seen Shellac live several times, probably the tightest and most accomplished live band I’ve ever seen. RIP.
 
I assume the new Shellac album will still come out next week; it will be pressed, ready and in the warehouses ready to go out.
 
It has to. Can you imagine how furious Steve would be if something got held up because of his own bullshit.
 
I assume he’s writing a forum post on a cloud right now absolutely seething that Billy Corgan outlived him.
