T-SWIFT Top 5

1. Come in With the Rain
2. You Belong With Me
3. White Horse
4. Untouchable
5. Teardrops on My Guitar

The first single is called "Mine", it will premiere August 16th.

The album will feature 14 songs, one is called "Sparks Fly".

The album was ENTIRELY written by Taylor, no co-writes. She was also a co-producer.

YAY

That's a little bit RISKY isn't it, the whole "flying solo" idea? I know she's no Aguilera which means she won't make stupid decisions but she could have done with the past producers to prove she has staying power

I think she co-wrote the whole of the last album, so I guess it's not that big of a jump for her to be doing solo songwriting on her third album. Anyway, the way she explained the album it pretty much sounds like Fearless 2.0 so she shouldn't have a problem with selling millions again

If it is Fearless 2.0 it should be good stuff, it took me a while to warm to some of the songs, but overall it's a very consistent little (and by little I mean very long) album.

Fearless and Change are by far the best tracks though.

I "got" every single song released from Fearless on first listen, girl's got talent to write catchy verses AND choruses

THA WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING
but no, I somehow can't imagine Taylor singing angry songs at all, evern "Picture to burn" you can feel she's singing it tongue in cheek. I don't think she can pull off angst.
I guess she has to have her heart broken many times and go trhough a proper turbulent romance, and none of this involving a Jonas Brother :gross:

I meant more that it would be tuneless dirge, but if she's able to inject a bit of angst into her voice I'd welcome that too.

This isn't going to be her 'My December' then...

I think she's a lot more business savvy than that... she has a great talent for writing VERY commercial and catchy pop-country crossover songs, and while her fanbase remains massive and such a wide demographic and radio is still hammering her singles to , I can't see her doing much wrong.

And Fearless is a good album, not great, but it's extremely listenable and has got a reasonable amount of highlights. The worst it gets is a tad bland, so she could have done much worse. I don't mean to sound like VoR but some of the vocals on the first album are a little too much, I can't really listen to "Should've Said No" without cringing

Taylor Top 10

1. You're Not Sorry (CSI remix)
2. ...

The end.

My favorite song of hers will always be Picture To Burn :guitar:

and the ones I'll always hate are Fifteen and the one about Teardrops when she's playing the guitar:manson:

The rumour mill going wild about Taylor ditching her good girl image in favour of latex-donning dominatrix proved to be a load of crap then :eyes:

It's pretty much as good as a Taylor Swift cover can get, would've been good as the album cover too

That will be album #4

And you know Miley will be clenching her fists as soon as she sees this enter #1 with an absurd amount of sales as she is digging through her own mountain of un-bought Can't Be Tamed albums. Purity $ell$$$

I've given Fearless a few spins now. I really like it. The title song, You Belong With Me and You're Not Sorry are my favourites. Love Story doesn't seem all that in comparison.

It's very much POP FLUFF with a slight Country twang. The great thing about it is it's all tune and no nonsense. And Jark if you're going to listen to Fearless you MUST abide by the Platinum Edition re-release that was released here in the US last Fall. Some of those bonus tracks are gorgeous, "Come in With the Rain", "Untouchable" to name just a couple

I'm not sure I really like her songs that much at all... I liked the pop mix of 'You Belong With Me' in a nothingy sort of way. But I probably couldn't hum one of her songs if someone put a gun to my head.

she always looks so shocked in her photos, like the flash scares her

'Mine' is OUT

I like it very much. 'You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter' :disco:

Did Miley flop then?

OMG "Mine" is phenomenal :o

That chorus is SO SO good, genuinely

It's going to be MASSIVE

And this is the best her vocal has sound on a record, it just FITS so well, where has this chorus been all my life?

it's literally Love Story 2 isn't it? right down to the structure of the song, changing the last chorus to a "surprise" from the lead man. :D

I do wish I could get excited over her stuff...I know it's all there, catchy chorus, cute vocals, but it's all so DULL. I prefer it to 'Love Story' mind.

^To say they sound absolutely nothing alike is just a tad SILLY, Jark

They ARE the same concept musically and structurally as Jiva said but of course "Mine" is substantially better

I can see how someone can differentiate the two song's qualities but to say "they sound absolutely nothing alike" is massively RIDICULOUS :D

ALL Taylor Swift songs sound at least 'slightly alike', let alone these two
