I assume they've not yet released the whole roster. I can't see them genuinely skipping Nina, Yoshimitisu, Hwoarang or Steve.

I loved Tekken 7 but it bothered me it took about FOUR YEARS for the whole thing to come out. I’ll never buy it at launch.

I've also cared less for recent instalments. "Ah, I see I have been brushed by the light fingertip of a teenage girl. I am now 20 feet in the air. I'll just put the controller down for 2 minutes whilst you juggle me weightless body."

And I'm not sure why the developers are so intent that hitboxes and graphics must never align.

So they've since announced Nina and Xiaoyu as returning characters, so we've clearly moved into the gay-pleasing phase

The graphics are obviously technically more advanced... but the styling feels very Street Fighter rather than Tekken.

I need them to start announcing new characters. Also I need them to start announcing Miguel, Shaheen, Zafina and Lydia otherwise I may boycott it.

I'm not totally convinced we'll see Zafina. She's one of the more fabulously unique characters, but she's apparantly had very low usage stats. And given she seemed to barely make the cut for Tekken 7...

I imagine they'll hold off on new characters for a little while. The fanbase can be a bit too rabid, I'd think announcing newbies before they've got around to the likes of Steve, Yoshimitsu, Hwoarang or Bryan would be a PR mess.

The arcade release of T7 made for a great fun roster reveal - Katarina and Shaheen announced before Nina? Loved it.

I recall the game head honchos getting very upset and defensive on social media when they gave us Lucky Chloe whilst Nina and Lei were still MIA
