Zverev's domestic violence case was settled outside the court AND he is in the finals of Roland Garros.

Carlos, please do the Lord's work.
An absolute humiliation at the hands of Alcaraz please!

On the women’s side, pretty wild that Swiatek was so close to losing to Osaka in the second round, and then went on to comprehensively win rhe whole thing.

Thank fuck for that. When I stopped watching Alcaraz had just forfeited his break and lost the third set. I thought it was over.

Even sweeter that it was another final where he was a set from victory but couldn't get over the line.

By ranking yes by surface it was expected.
Totally. Ruud has never got past second round at Wimbledon I think.. and seems to be either all or nothing at the slams with little consistency except at the French.

Raducanu is looking like a force. Hope she can maintain that level.

Hoping that Draper can slay Zverev come the third round (if they both win tomorrow). That would be most pleasing.

Ruud *hates* grass. Him making it past R3 would have been a shock.

The women's bottom half is.. it's a whole thing. Grass, so confusing.

It does look like a dream draw for Emma. Sakkari is the seed that everyone must want to see in their section.

Dart v Boulter was a bit of a mess, so many errors from them both. Harriet deserved it in the end.

Really like Nick Kyrgios commentating, it's just a shame we have to suffer Andrew Castle at the same time. :zombie:

A bit? It was a total eyesore. Katie kept dumping Dart’s 62mph second serves about 10 feet long, should have been out on court 7 or something!

I enjoyed Nicks commentary the other day too (forget the match  )

Swiatek and Jabeur out within the space of 15 minutes. :o

Raducanu also withdrew from her mixed doubles with Andy due to a wrist issue. Judy not happy.

Was on court 1 watching the Swiatek match. Some bizarre misses and unforced errors from second set onwards. I'm usually a fan but she didn't deserve the win.

Strange how she seems to be a completely different player on the grass ro other surfaces

The way she stared her down at the net after the match ended was very uncharacteristic. Hope she's okay!

I saw that but Putintseva was a bit of a dick towards her during their match in Rome so I wonder if it was a combination of that and Putintseva not really reacting to Iga being pretty sporting at the handshake.

Iga’s forehand is not suited to grass, however, a lot is in her head and she didn’t play any warm up events but I suspect she’s more focussed on the Roland Garros/Olympics double this summer.

*Annual rant about how shite Andrew Castle is as a commentator*

Maybe he's just cheaper to hire.
He's dreadful. :zombie:

When he was commentating on the Ymer-Draper match he made comments along the lines of that neither of them came from money or something.

I do enjoy Ash Barty, Nick Kyrgios and Jo Konta though, three well-informed, likable former players who know what they're talking about.

Vekic-Badosa was also fun. Good run on her favourite surface for Donna, heavy favourite no matter who she faces in the QF.

Raducanu's playing like she's got something debilitating her movement (lower back?) plus that slip just now - not looking good. Judy Murray's working overtime on that voodoo doll.

I think Lulu Sun deserves more credit so far with her good 1-2 tennis. A bit of a mini Kvitova redux game, giving Emma difficulties with the width and angles she’s using so far.

Coco Gauff also out to Emma Navarro. :o The womens draw is WIDE open. :disco:

Gauff going out is not the biggest shock though. I feel the fact that she had her breakout run at SW19 clouds the fact that her forehand has broken on grass for years now or rather she cannot compensate for it as well as on other surface. Navarro did the smart thing by peppering that side.

Granted, the bottom half is quite open, the top half is pretty damn stellar though. Salivating at today's women R16s.

Watching Raducanu is like watching two different players. She came out yesterday looking like she was meeting her mates at the pub and needed to get out of there as quick as possible
