The Beatles to release 50th anniversary deluxe edition of 'Abbey Road'

I was hoping there would at least be some disparaging tags by now but really we don't give a shit about them here and it's so REFRESHING.

We used to have this record at home and I used to quite like MAXWELL'S SILVER HAMMER which PROVES that I have always had APPALLING TASTE :)

I absolutely hated "Abbey Road" the first time I heard it, especially Oh Darling and I Want You. But when I got into them later on via Revolver and Rubber Soul, I went back and found bits I rather enjoyed - both Harrisongs are ace and the long medley thing works, largely because McCartney breaks yr heart while Lennon takes the piss by slinging in 2 comedy songs and a think pastiche of "Albatross".

Both Harrison songs are fantastic. Just performed by Shirley Bassey and Nina Simone, not them.

A lot of my favourite bands cite Abbey Road as a key record in their musical development but I've never really gotten it to be honest.

I think the only Beatles album I actually 'love' is The White Album.
