Ella Henderson is back with her first new music in four years.

The 'Ghost' singer has released the soulful title track from her upcoming EP, 'Glorious', her first on Rudimental's Major Toms label, and described the writing process as a "mind-cleansing" experience as she tackles "issues of self-doubt, body image and the fleeting nature of youth".

Ella said: "Writing 'Glorious' was a mind-cleansing moment for me, it represents the first time I truly began to start celebrating everything I used to live in fear of. "Learning to accept and love yourself for who you are can be difficult in this day and age.

"'Glorious' stands for everything we should feel about ourselves – empowered and proud."

The EP will be released on November 8, and follows her recent Jax Jones collaboration, 'This Is Real,' which featured on his 2018 'Snacks' EP.

 
It's nice that she's back she has waited four years to bring us THIS? It's alright I guess but it's so non descript.
 
Is that the first single? If so this needs to be budged to Pop Toilet PRONTO.
 
I'd love for her to pull off a James Arthur style comeback, but I don't see her even managing a Lucy Spraggan with this.

I like this. It’s definitely a grower. But it doesn’t feel like a comeback single though.
 
This Is Real with Jax Jones up to 33 this week in the UK, Ella back in the top 40 - a good omen if she can release something half decent of her own
 
Still mad at her for stealing what would have been a FABULOUS Leona Lewis single in Ghost.

I fail to see how ANYBODY could get excited by Ella Henderson. She’s the actual definition of PEDESTRIAN!
 
I could SORT OF get behind wurst's post if it wasn't for that fact that it kind of implies Leona is EXCITING.
 
To be fair Ella probably got it more exposure than LEONA would have
 
Ella is more exciting than Leona. Fine margins but at least she's not fully dead behind the eyes.
 
If you stole her chips, Ella looks like she'd give you a decent thump. Leona would run away crying.

That's a rule of thumb I often use.
 
I totally forgot about Leona being punched. I seem to recall this led to the revelation that Jill Tyrell had been slapped by Kim Marsh, which she of course vehemently denied on Twitter. As we now know, it was an absolute work of fiction.

Her single with Jax Jones seems to be gaining some traction. Up to #30 this week. I think this could be another Ella Top 10!

Leona being punched at a book signing was quite THE STORY at the time
 
EP is out today. I haven’t listened to the new songs yet but I quite like Young.
 
I listened to Friends earlier and thought it was pretty good.
 
Friends is cute but the whole EP is so 2016 and ultimately I essential. Not what she needed to come back with to be honest.
 
Her dance collabs are doing well though aren't they? She's top 20 w/Jax Jones (and I imagine going higher being #6 on Apple Music, now top 40 on Spotify and #3 on iTunes) and the Sigala one is doing okay too.
 
Ella Henderson has a UK top 10 single :o nobody can have seen this doing so well in the long run

It sounds like about 1000 other songs, but I quite like it and the Hold me close, lets stay home lyric is inspired
