The Traitors (UK) S03E11 (1 Viewer)

There's kinda been loads of successful shields, because normally when they reveal to the group they have it, it works as a deterrent anyway.
I meant has a shield holder ever attempted to have been murdered and been shielded successfully though? Not sure it has...

I'm just not sure once they've already got rid of 2.
Wouldn’t you try and get one more out so you’re not having to split the money three ways? It’s a risk continuing the game, but less of a risk if you’re the only one to vote for it as why would a traitor want to keep playing?

If they know the rules they'd know it would have been an ultimatum so he wouldn't have lived to tell the tale.

Speaking of the rules - it annoyed me Alexander put the theory out that Leanne is a traitor and “murdered herself” because she had the shield. I think it’s been established by now that traitors can’t murder traitors (regardless of shields) so that theory should have been shot down.

Personally, and I appreciate this is not the way most people would play it, but I would want to stop as soon as I thought we were down to just faithfuls, because the whole point of being a faithful is working as a team. I'd take the share as soon as I thought we'd lost the traitors.

I think, especially now that people have seen the show and seen traitors win, no one will ever vote to end early again. Series 1 it only happened because the game was unfamiliar to the players and Wilf basically gave away that the three left were faithful.

I thought he meant that Leanne had chosen to recruit instead of murder & was using the shield to pretend that didn't happen

There needs to be some kind of a safeguard for that in the rules then: the whole point of the faithfuls game is to work together so there shouldn’t be reward for them intentionally betraying one another at the end to try and get a bigger share.

I think a good rule would be ‘if you have got all the traitors already and you vote out a faithful then you’ll lose 50% of the prize pool. If you do it twice you lose it all so there are no winners at all.’ That would mean there is no incentive to keep voting to try and increase your share because you’d actually decrease it.

Charlotte fucked herself over the moment she voted Minah out. She should have kept her on and thrown her under a bus last minute.
Her move against Freddie was as far too risky and backfired as he voted for her on his way out (although they all seem far too stupid to realise).
This twist is also incredibly unfair, and has clearly just been thrown in to provide a faithful win.

I don't think so at all, especially given how things are just so stacked against the faithful without it. Charlotte and the traitors will lose much more as a consequence of her disloyalty than this twist. Fucking over both Minah and Freddie is much more consequential. If Freddie hadn't voted for her on the way out, she'd at least have a chance of convincing people that Frankie is lying. And if he hadn't been banished at all, or Minah was still around, then the traitors would have two against three, meaning they'd just need to convince one faithful to back them to win the final night (and then have to convince that same faithful to turn on the other traitor to get a solo traitor victory)

Charlotte fucked herself over, but she at least had a chance before this twist. Now she has no chance (although judging by the level of stupidity seen in this game before, who knows).

It’s also similarly unfair in that if Frankie had chosen a faithful to meet, they could just vote their way to the end in an almost guaranteed win (because clearly everyone trusts Frankie is a faithful at this point).

It’s essentially a very unnecessary twist that has added nothing but an anticlimax.

Again, because Charlotte chose to be the only traitor in the final. We'll likely see next year the traitors be a little less willing to go into the final alone. Which I would argue has always been the ideal move, but greed takes over too quickly.

Won't the not revealing if they are traitors work against Alexander, as well? Assuming Charlotte and Frankie go first, the others won't know that they are traitors for sure, so are perhaps more likely to go for a 'just in case' third kill, particularly when they have always treated that person as an outsider.

Just seen speculation that Charlotte could attempt to spin Freddie's vote for her as him protecting Francesca as the other traitor, which is an interesting take.

What is the timescale for all this happening, in terms of Charlotte being able to formulate a plan after meeting with Francesca? Is there another night, or does play resume straight afterwards?

Breakfast > Challenge > Lunch/Dinner > Round Table > Endgame is pretty much guaranteed. The only unknown is whether they all meet up again after the reveal before going to sleep, but there won't be a traitors turret, so my guess is they will go straight to bed after dinner without conferring and breakfast is the first chance Frankie will get to talk to the others

He said it was the only possible explanation why he wouldn't have his phone for three weeks :D

Sorry, just caught up but like others, I am so fucking annoyed that the twist has (admittedly, seemingly) ruined the game. No way you let either Fran or Charlotte into the final, so it’s surely a faithful win.

Freddie was APPALLING- I’d be rightly annoyed if I was him, though. Totally didn’t want to be there. :D

I have faith it's still going to slap because, if it wasn't a finale full of good stuff, surely they'd have made who Francesca picked the cliffhanger last night, to give us one OMFG moment tonight from that being revealed.

What other fun parts of the game would you like to create rules against, cwej?

Not sure you actually understood my point, because what I suggested would be MORE dramatic and perilous for the players.

As it currently stands, Leanne in particular knew she wasn't a suspect for any of the remaining players and could keep playing to the end with no chance of losing. More fun to make her think 'fuck I might be throwing money away if I vote a faithful out'.

Of course the disgusting Jake is wearing trainers with a suit! Even Charlotte took the effort to put a brush through her hair!

The fact I was convinced Fran was going to pick Alex and take him right to the end, and now it’s looking like a Leanne and Jake win. I can’t take the cruelty!

:nononono:

I suppose the only smart option is for Fran to NOT reveal what she knows so Charlotte can’t mount an attack against her.
