I've spent a large portion of today listening to the hospital phoneline's hold music. It's like pulling teeth trying to get any information out of them, let alone an estimated timeframe for my operation, I've spoken to two secretaries and one general person and have been given conflicting advice from all of them about whether I can start doing stuff again. I can sit at the computer for up to an hour without pain starting so I'm going to ring my boss and ask whether she wants to drop some work off for me to just do in short bursts during the day because my brain is turning to mush doing nothing. Mr F just asked me to explain what a covalent bond was (he was watching one of his boring space programmes) and I couldn't remember the word "electron" and ended up calling it "the negative atomy thingummy" whilst twirling my hands around which kind of spoiled the description.
