TOP TWENTY MOOPY DEATHS (1 Viewer)

Indeed she has. Unlikely to be broken, I'd guess until either a big name dies in shocking circumstances or one of the big Moopy divas gives up the ghost.

Given how far ahead she is already of Whitney, with her body still above ground, and with random LIZ DEAD titbits to come no doubt giving it the occasional boost, I can't see it ever being topped

Kylie is the only possible 'contender' I can think of.

It would still take some. A lavish public funeral might help. Which she should have, with songs befitting her reign and showing up Liz's DIRGE fest. But I'd still be surprised, unless she dies NOW

Obviously there are politicians too. But it would take an assassination of Truss or something.

If anyone fancies it, to give Liz some competition

I wonder who the next HUGE NAME will be to go.

I don’t want this to happen, but if Obama died, it would be a big shock

Notable that Prince gets into the Top 10 without hardly any contribution from me (as I was not around then)

Had I been, he'd probably be #6, maybe Top 5

Still not over it :(

I wasn't around on here for these, but I certainly remember the top 4 – 3 wonderful musicians gone too soon. 😞 Michael Jackson's passing in 2009 is the earliest celebrity death I remember. 💭
I happened to hear both Whitney and Amy (songs on the radio) today. 💕🎶🕊

It looks like the Queen of England has toppled the King of Pop as the reigning monarch of the Zsa Zsa Gabor memorial cemetery.

I remember my radio alarm going off and "I Will Always Love You" was playing. I thought "why are Radio 4 playing that? Bit early for Desert Island Discs?". Then I twigged.

I just about remember John Lennon's death but I didn't really know who he was - I just knew it was a big, big thing because of how the news and the radio were reacting. Then he was #1 for a month or so with three different records.

That's very much how I remember the death of Elvis and subsequently Way Down. No real idea who he was, just that he was everywhere, and it being huge news for my parents' generation.

I had more awareness of who Lennon was and who The Beatles were - although probably much more because of McCartney/Wings, who I believe were much more of a singles chart presence in the late 70s, when I first became interested in the chart and TOTP.
