it's like she just threw DARTS at a LIST.

Oh I AM looking forward to her ruining 'Winter' :zombie:

Someone RUN HER OVER

they probably yanked her brain out during her last face lift. she knows not what she does :(

The sad thing is that, on last year's orchestral tour, she did a really good and exciting orchestral version of Cruel - but of course that's not made the cut

Were any of these actually hits? I know quite a few of her songs but none of these ring a bell at all.

Not really, only Winter and Silent All These Years. Most of them are album tracks, so it's not really a greatest hits at all, but I'm not sure what else to call it

OT: CONVERSELY Alanis has the opposite problem - always too much JLP for me. Have you seen disc 2 of the special edition of HABL? It's live versions of:

1. I Remain (Segue 1)
2. Woman Down
3. You Learn
4. Guardian
5. Hands Clean
6. Ironic
7. Citizen of the Planet
8. Head Over Feet
9. You Oughta Know
10. Numb
11. Hand In My Pocket
12. Uninvited

:eyes:

She's not billed this as any kind of greatest hits, just reworking a few songs from the back catalogue that she thought sat well with an orchestral production. It's just applying what she was doing on her last album 'Night of Hunters' to some older material.

Silent All These Years and Winter both were top 40 in the UK.

I've just realised I do actually know Silent All These Years. I'm not that familiar with her, but I did like that classical album she did recently, if this is going to be in a similar vein then I may enjoy it.

Well she's not really ever been a singles artist anyway. Tales of a Librarian, which WAS billed as a sort of greatest hits, missed off a few crucial singles (Caught A Lite Sneeze, a sorta fairytale) and included random album tracks (Way Down, Playboy Mommy, Baker Baker...)

Praise be that she's never tampered with 'A Sorta Fairytale'. There could never be enough SEDATIVES

Well, the edited single mix was a travesty, it cut out the best parts

Oh, I didn't know there was an edit. Disgraceful. Mercifully I missed out on that displeasure

Some of those choices are HILAIR. "Programmable Soda"? A Christmas song stuck in the middle of it all? An 11 minute track as track TWO?

To be fair, all the others I absolutely love/like apart from Flying Dutchman and Snow Cherries which I don't know.

Ooh Snow Cherries from France is gorgeous. Was the "new" track on TOAL.

Someone RUN HER OVER
LOL

I think she's actually doing a secret experiment to see how far up her own ass she can go before her fanbase dwindles down to NIL. And the utterly expressionless face on the cover only makes it all more comical (not that she COULD move her face but y'know)

She actually can't move her face at all, can she? :(

somehow that's more acceptable than anything i've seen her as recently

Those ARE some nice legs *ignores the rest of the photo*

See that no-wig pic is a bit shocking at first, but it's actually far more like what Tori Amos SHOULD look like at 49. i.e. like a PERSON, not a WAX DOLL.

I also think this still from the video is more like how she should be in her photo shoots:
