In tribute to Mae Muller, please find my proposed UK 2024 Eurovision entry 'Mae Muller Style'

The vision for the video is me being pursued around the streets of London by an interpretation of @MegaDolly who ultimately gets run over by a bus (driven by Mae herself!)

The way those lyrics speak to that part of my soul that previously only knew of an unbearable yearning.
 
Her live earlier was so funny (the foot stamping help?) she is so funny and a lovely girl. I really hope these signings and iTunes going to number 1
has helped her with a higher chart position. She’s still number 3 on iTunes.
 
There’s a lyric in ‘MTJL’ on the new album where Mae sings ‘but I deserve a lot’. Some of her fans organised signs to be held up with ‘you deserve a lot’ during one of the recent intimate performances she did of that song and Mae got really emotional. Such a lovely moment ❤️

it’s weird she hasn’t posted on Twitter for nearly 24 hours when she hasn’t stopped all week/month in the run up
 
I thought it might go closer to top 20 with the rise in the second midweeks. The charts are like YO-YOs THESE DAYS
 
Considering the usual trajectory of midweek to final chart placings for new releases lower down I think that is a decent result.
 
The way streaming is has just killed off the charts anyway. You could get hundreds of millions of streams and get a low chart position.
 
I take your point about streaming throttling the life out of the album chart, but I suspect that had she got 'hundreds of millions' of streams she'd have got #1.

She was #11 on sales (#7 on downloads :D) and nowhere on streaming. But I don't have a problem with streaming being included in itself - more the fact that literally half the albums above her this week have been on the chart over 2 years already, nine of them 5 years, and six of them 10 years. GET RID.

I'm assuming that figure of 487m includes the 440m that Better Days alone has accrued over the last two years, the 20m or so apiece that I Wrote A Song and Feels This Good have, add another 1.5m for Me, Myself and I, and that leaves 5.5m for all the remaining tracks.
 
:D at how much of a pisstake that graphic is. That figure for the Kim Petras album that is clearly almost entirely based on Unholy!
