We simply MUST discuss SOUP (1 Viewer)

I love any kind of Hot&Sour soup, or Ramen noodle...

Other than that; cream of mushroom, minestrone, any kind of cream/corn CHOWDER, a good French onion, a lovely carrot coriander with a base of sweet potato, ..the list goes on!

Meh. Some flavours are ok for a starter, but I prefer to EAT my meals.

I love a cream of mushroom/chicken or a plain tomato and basil with a slice of toasted sourdough with butter and Marmite to dip in :disco:

When I'm not caring about calories (:eyes:)/hungover (:eyes:) an absolute Tisch fave is a cheese toastie dipped in Tomato Soup although I find it does repeat on me during the day.

Otherwise if were talking TINS I love a good old fashioned vegetable, although I have to pick the beans out.

Other good friends are: (sort of ranked)

Chicken noodle
Leak and potato
Spring vegetable
Carrot and coriander
Mushroom
Chicken

Shout out to BIG SOUP as well

Not a fan:

Mulligatawny
Broccoli and stilton
Vegetable soup from a restaurant
Oxtail

Actually lentil soup can slightly fuck off. Tastes too EARTHY and makes me fart so much I could heat my whole apartment.

Some of those Covent Garden ones are rank too - very hit and miss. I've not had them for a while but some are really good and some you would think they were the supermarket basic range.

I've pretended to enjoy gazpacho too many times but also cannot.

I'd say my favourite is a nice basic potato and leek.

Or anything with parsnip. Or french onion.

Got proper into making soups in lockdown when I started working from home.
Love a good cream of mushroom soup, tomato obviously, carrot and coriander and made a delicious one a few times with cauliflower, cashew and coriander with tumeric in it :disco:

Big soup maker too, sometimes the best ones are blitzed up from what you have in the fridge!

I've never made a French Onion one though, may attempt that in Autumn.

Green pea and ham is always a treat.

I usually think I don't like carrot and coriander much but I've had some really lovely ones.

I have VERY little interest in soup, to Mr Sheena’s CHAGRIN.

Exceptions made for lovely gazpacho, Heinz tomato when I’m sick and an occasional oxtail.

French onion is obviously GOD TIER, but Lucy loves nothing more as a CHEAP TREAT than a BASIC CREAM OF TOMATO with plenty of heavily buttered bread.

If we're talking Spanish, salmorejo is much better than gazpacho, and a piece of piss to make.

And now I really want some.

Most Gazpacho is QUITE PLEASANT, but then like every so often you get one MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD and you’re always chasing that high again.

It's not really soup season but I am partial to a gazpacho in the summer.

Ramen isn't soup. Not in my book. Don't get me wrong, I fucking love ramen, but it isn't SOUP.

This is very true. I want to make this but it's been FUCKING FREEZING all summer in the UK.
