Essential:

Scrooged
Trading Places
Home Alone
Die Hard

A good watch:

Love Actually
Santa Claus The Movie (it's fucking dreadful but it's nostalgic and John Lithgow and Dudley Moore are, to be fair, both great in it)
Gremlins
Elf

Fine but I don't need to watch them again:

The Polar Express
The Holiday

Plan on watching this year for the first time:

Last Christmas
Office Christmas Party

I should really watch more old movies. It's A Wonderful Life is OKAY I guess. Never seen Meet Me In St Louis.

It's the most important debate :santa:

I can only watch it between October and December.

Reactions: COB
200 Cigarettes (more of a NYE affair, but I always watch it around the same period)

A Diva's Christmas Carol

Last Christmas looks so fucking awful but it also looks so festive. I need to force myself through it somehow

The Muppets Christmas Carol
Batman Returns

Home Alone is surprisingly QUITE emotional at the end from the time the mum comes home, to the neighbour who reunites with his son, of course all with John Williams' score.

Black Christmas, Die Hard, and The Hogfather (book is better though) are my other favourites.

ELF is a load of SHITE.

Tokyo Godfathers - my personal best Christmas film ever ever, I have to watch it every year as a tradition. It's just been added to UK Netflix too!

Yeah definitely second this! I saw it this year for the first time in like spring or something, so seeing it on Netflix makes me want to do it again
