See, this is my slight issue with the track sequencing on this album. This is a perfectly pleasant ballad. They all sound good on it, it’s fairly modern, and it COULD serve as a welcome change of pace. But coming after the previous two tracks it does trigger a slightly worrying “uh oh, this is getting boring now” reaction...

One Touch kind of sounds like they are on autopilot. I wouldn't skip but not one I expect to seek out.

Under My Skin I like very much. A classy little interlude before things kick up again.

This is more like it! Proper old school Steps. Quite heartwarming to discover that they’ve got their old songwriters for this. The shift to the chorus is slightly jarring first time around and it doesn’t build as much as I’d like but it’s most welcome nonetheless.
 
LOVE Heartbreak in the City. It feels very them, but the chorus isn't really like anything they've done before.

9.5 Come And Dance With Me
Oh I am loving this dated old TOOT. Doesn’t get full marks because the verses are just kind of fill between the AMAZING cheesetastic choruses (and Lee’s line) but I’m so glad that they’re still doing this kind of thing after all these years. I hope they do it live. Preferably in the same set as Summer of Love.

Slight dip in energy again (well it would have to be after that last pair). Still fairly uplifting in a low-key way though. It was @SDF who suggested this but I do feel it’s a slight missed opportunity not having this as the album closer, especially as it’s the token “dedication to the fans” track. Celebrate You vibes.
