When are you switching your heating on? (1 Viewer)

Lighted up the fireplace in the island which we haven't done for like 15 years and were worried the chimney would catch fire from accumulated dust etc but it hasn't, hope it stays this way🤞

Looks like we are in for another COLD SNAP in the UK. Look out your leg warmers and crank that heating up full pelt.

It's only meant to be a couple of days isn't it? At least around these parts.

Still, I had a lovely new SNOOD for Christmas, so am looking forward to a chance to use it.

I think it is the same here. Starting Sunday and going in to early next week.

I’ve had mine on since I came back from Ibiza. Ireland isn’t any warmer than Scotland.

No just yet but I will be tempted once we go below freezing in the morning hours.

Hopefully never.

I had a little BLAST this morning now it’s finally dipped below 20 degrees and I LOVED IT!

Just switched ours on to make sure it's working. Think I need to bleed a couple of radiators which are a bit patchy, but other than that seems all good.

Is it still like a typical Scottish summers day temperatures in England?

Well Southern England. I think our @Soldi mentioned it was quite cold in the North which is also primarily BALTIC.

It’s a BITTERLY COLD 13 today in London which is the first COLD day of the winter.

11° here, and a low of 2° tonight apparently. And 1° tomorrow night, before climbing back up next week.

Better finish off getting my bulbs in before the frost hits every night.

In London it is getting a LITTLE colder now but still firmly mid teens. Light jacket or jumper advised but you’ll be sweating in both or a heavier coat.

Yes, just getting into the teens during the day but dropping down close to freezing overnight. It’s gloriously sunny though :disco:

It’s officially cold because the coffee machine was making LOTS of visible steam this morning.

As I said elsewhere I'm resisting thus far, aside from maybe an hour in the morning.

I bought a lovely new neck warmer/gaiter when I was in Uniqlo a few weeks back. I've just popped it on now the radiators have gone off again

Turned it on last night, and it's now back on the timer. So lovely to step out of bed (and the radiator is on my side) and feel the warmth hit straight away.

I think it may be SHORT LIVED here as looking at the forecast it is meant to heat up midweek for a bit. So that means I will have to get call my brother and get him back round to reset the bloody thing as it is a new system and I don’t have a single clue about these new fangled systems.

For the last week - not for long though, just to time it with putting a wash on.

It has got unseasonably MILD over here. Still endless rain, but mild so no the heating is OFF. All the seasons seem to blend in to one here. :(
