Eurovision 2023 Chart Watch

Cha Cha Cha at #15 too. That’s one you might have expected to have a high burn rate so good for him!

It’s still doing decent across streaming, even if it is down to #8 on Spotify today - numbers are very close anyway. She must have a great shot at a third week top ten.

What I’m wondering is will she be hit by ACR in two weeks time? Its been out for over 9 weeks now, so last weeks huge increase means it’s safe for three weeks after that but I assume it will fall in consumption across all three and thus get is streams halved after that?

Is the increase last week not good enough to keep Loreen off ACR for ten weeks? I thought the three week thing was only for when a song has been on ACR and then got reset.

The chart rules state 'accelerated chart ratio cannot be applied to any product with fewer with 9 weeks on chart (i.e. ACR can only be applied in its 10th week on the chart at the earliest)'.

Honestly don’t know. I don’t think Pink had ten more weeks after Trustfall peaked for example, think she was hit as ‘normal’ on week ten or so despite peaking around week four or five?

Blanka UP

Mae having a decent hit post-contest. Wonder what it could have achieved with a better live performance.

I’m not sure it was ever suitable for a live performance. It sounds fabulous on the radio (etc.) in its studio version but I think a lot of the fun is based on understanding what she’s singing about, which may not have extended to potential voters Brunhilda and Svetlana. Otherwise it just comes across as a less appealing Solo I mean dear God :)

I don't think it was made for it, but it certainly could have been a bit better.
