Canada Vs The World Season 2

It has potential. I didn't necessarily think Kennedy was the best up there per say, but she did win it with both the hair flip and sheer adrenaline she seemed to be propelled by (it certainly wasn't the material and it was borderline awkward between her and Alexis - yet they gave something that did genuinely feel like 2 queens being vicious to each other without filter or mindfulness of the audience). I counted 4 high kicks from Eureka during the lip sync (5 if you count the one on the ground - she's very versatile I'm sure) and I actually think the camera cut away from her where more seemed to be about to happen. It was almost as if she was doing it knowingly by the time she did it when leaving. She certainly has huge emotional issues to deal with given what she came out with, but this is someone who devours the scenery whenever the cameras are on so it's really hard to gage where I can roll my eyes without guilt, but they were very much rolling at points. She's good TV, but this was the correct exit point.

What's not clear is whether the runways actually had a different outfit?

What they maybe could have done was have their opponent do their voiceover for the runway if it was just the same outfit we got them in.

I hated the format of the maxi challenge, judging the pairs right after their routine. It's so overproduced.

Kennedy's "kid who smells the cushion" joke knocked me tf out :D

Eureka is a great drag queen overall, and I do wish she had stayed longer because I love an annoying overbearing queen, but this has easily been her worst DR tenure.

I wasn't intending to bother with this one due to the cast of re-re-re-hashes, but I got dragged in by the good reviews, as always.

I think the format change is promising, feels quite back to basics for what is essentially an all stars run.

Loved Alexis giving forth about how this is VERY SERIOUS and NOT A JOKE, while pleading her case to be spared a lip sync via a gold-spraypainted beaver. :D

Kennedy unsurprisingly had the quote of the episode. "It's hard to take a side, but in this situation it's kind of EASY to take a side. Alexis did better. Ray Charles could see that and he's BLIND. AND he's DEAD!"

Only just started watching but this sums things up precisely.

That Ray quote was fucking ICONIC. I’ve already used it twice today :D

Thoroughly entertaining episode.

Kennedy
was lucky to get the beaver.

So pleased that Cheryl
has made it to the final.

I feel like it’s Lemon’s to lose however production have really pushed her this season with the OTT critiques like her crushing the runway? She looks busted half the time!

It felt pretty level between Lemon and Kennedy prior to that episode. Kennedy remains one of the most charismatic Queens ever and is still my choice for the win, even though I don't think she's going to win - I just don't see them giving the Canada vs The World crown to a US queen for a second time apart from anything else.

I don't think Cheryl is undeserving of her place in the final but the gulf in quality in the runways sometimes is ridiculous.

Lemon has brought it to the challenges this time and would deserve the title. Kennedy is Kennedy, I like watching her but she doesn’t do it for me. Alexis is my legendary queen! :disco:

The best thing about Alexis for me is her boy hairline.

I just love love love Cheryl.

Really thought she might get her win this week but then she came out in that dress. Brooke was very kind in her critique.

I do think performance wise she's been arguably best or second best in terms of consistently, depending on how much you rate Lemon. She hasn't had a bad week bar the ball.

I predict a Lemon Vs Cheryl final two with the final result being a draw.

Sorry, but that episode was appalling. Why bother with a Snatch Game when no one actually got a chance to use their characters?

Well, possibly cause, AGAIN, everyone was entirely unfunny and only Lemon was vaguely good.

I felt so sad as I'm guessing this was the point during filming when Kennedy's partner miscarried. I did wonder that surely they all would have known the 2 questions they'd be asked in advance given the less than usual time to do the actual Snatch. Lemon should have 1) sung with a Scottish accent too, and 2) got the ballad. Brad's nervous space-filler laugh was toe-curling.

That rusical was mighty ambitious for Canada DR. Even the US series would've struggled with it. And yet, the queens held their own remarkably well.

Lemon clearly positioned to win. She's bringing it every season, she's got the rudemption storyline, and the producers have given her the star edit. Her being the 'underdog' with Susan Boyle and then emerging as Judy Garland was waaay too convenient :D
Poor Cheryl. I'll always cheer for her but that runway was basic af.

And WOW @ that cruel ass elimination. Alexis was 100% evil :D

UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!

That should have been a Cheryl vs Lemon final lip sync. Cheryl destroyed Alexis in their battle.

I thought Alexis won the final lip sync (following her deserved victory over Cheryl) and that Kennedy won the one prior. Should have been Kennedy's - Lemon is fine for refreshment, but Lady Miss K is an all you can lap up buffet of drag entertainment and talent.

I thought Kennedy and Cheryl were both stronger in theirs, and it was a toss up at the end.

But everyone gave good lip syncs so I'm happy enough.

Happy for the result. Very deserved.

Glad Cheryl was in the top, regardless of the lip-sync. Because both qualifying syncs were amazing.
