How are we feeling about this three weeks out from the anniversary?

It does seem like they have a packed week in store with Billy and Honey's wedding, the outcome of the Cindy attack, Phil's mental health storyline with the flashback scenes and Grant's return, the conclusion of the Reiss/Bianca/Sonia saga, the Denise love triangle vote, and a big stunt and live episode to boot, but it's all feeling like a bit of a chore getting there, and there's not really a feeling of building excitement at all.

I am slightly intrigued as to what exactly happened with Cindy, but it's such a slog at the moment watching everyone go around being shifty and revealing their boring secrets from Christmas night.

Not sure those are really major spoilers by the way, I was just listing storylines.

I’ve seen some talk of Cindy Jr. being the culprit, but it makes no sense how/why she would travel to Walford on Christmas Day and it just be a coincidence that it was immediately after she’d been chucked out by the whole family.

It’s pointing to it being Ian now, isn’t it?

I feel there's been quite a lot of misdirection away from it being Kojo, so I'd say he's prime suspect at the moment particularly with all his involvement with the storyline pre-Christmas. Perhaps with some of the other Knights helping to cover it up.

Would they really go there with the autistic character being violent?
It could be a bit problematic, but they did plant the seeds that he can lash out in high stress situations back when he first arrived with his brother.

OK, after that off-screen chat between George and Gina tonight, I’m locking in my prediction that it was Kojo, George helped cover it up, and Gina now knows everything.

I also just remembered that conversation between George and Kojo on Boxing Day where George is asking him to get his story straight. It was portrayed as if that was for George, but the Kojo theory does put a different spin on it, and it is weird that it’s never really been followed up.

Annoyed at the Freddie/Gina thing though. Feels unnecessary
I’m sure it won’t be the last of the ludicrous out of character goings on that happened on Christmas night to excuse everyone going around acting shiftily.

Natalie Cassidy has quit and will film her final scenes next month around the 40th anniversary. I wonder if Reiss will kill her in the live episode!!

I get the impression Nat is very keen to move on from Eastenders and has had so many breaks and time away, so to announce an exit in such a definite fashion...it's a death! Then again if that's the case, it takes the impact away by announcing the exit now? Maybe it was being threatened as a leak

The Cindy plot is very camp! That ending last night! :D Also loved her storming in the cafe "Just to let you know i've handed the shovel in to the police, so if you had anything to do with it your days are numbered" :D I'm still sticking with Ian! It makes sense after the way he lost it and smashed up the living room and then stormed out the house

I really hope it's not Kojo, that would be a shit outcome I think

I don't really understand Ravi's character, he seems to genuinely like Denise but I always think he's up to something. Let's not forget he has killed two people

There's a dark side there but most the time he seems NICE! I keep expecting him to turn evil

Hour long episode on Wednesday 19th, after which the vote for the Denise storyline will open. Then Thursday 20th will be the live one.

The Pat one :D

Think I would have to do Bonnie Tyler Holding Out for a Hero as Sonia with her truly abysmal but iconic line "Get Den Watts he'll know what to do!" when they had the fairground DISASTER

It's time to bring out the big guns for a return in the live episode
