Fun song but honestly, what a ridiculous step backwards for Ireland after last year.![]()
Oh nary an Irish person will be involved with this song againBless those dancers being so excited thinking they are actually going to Eurovision.
Oh I'll be disappointed if we get nothing this side of midnightLook out for her X tomorrow.
I think we'll find out in a couple of days time that it was REJECTED from MGP!The fact this girl knew this wouldn’t be allowed within 50 ft of MGP so pawned it off on a desperate Ireland instead!

More songs need EAGLE SFX in them![]()
Patrick Keilty put it in a way that I think appealed quite nicely to that casual Irish viewer, by saying that we loaned Norway Fionnuala Sherry in 1995, and now they’re returning the favourThe Irish delegation were so short-sighted for putting Laika Party in a really mid lineup of songs this year and not anticipating that this might happen. Surely there's going to be a backlash? And why on earth would anyone remotely professional submit themselves to this next year if they could just end up losing to a random Norwegian?
Why is VoR shitting the bed a bit over this? I like it!! It's unlikely to win, but I do think it's better than boring Samantha Mumba, is instant (perhaps too instant tbh) and feels like a worthy successor to last year for Ireland. It might lack the gravitas, but it's already a song I'd happily listen to over Bambi's
Loved Donal (Ireland’s straightest man) referencing Wir geben ‘ne Party and using his dying screen time to rant about how the Late Late Show is not fit for purpose and other countries have much better stages for their national final![]()
You didn’t KNOW?!Why oh why(especially as a dog owner) did I have to go and Google the real story behind LAIKA![]()
I remember hearing about it vaguely years ago but I think I blocked it out to save myself from trauma! You didn’t KNOW?!
I can definitely hear those influences except for the Björk and Kraftwerk ones."Björk meets Kraftwerk"
