There's At Least Two Inches Of Saturday

Just freezing mist here. I can see the house immediately opposite, but not the wood on the other side of river, about 50m away. As we're low lying and in a valley, mist isn't unusual at all, but usually it's cleared by 9am or so. If anything this looks like it's getting worse.

No snow here. :(

It is very thick frost though and does seem somewhat festive. I wish all this cold weather would just hold off a few weeks though for Christmas instead of the usual grey, dull, balmy weather we usually get.

Very frosty here too and not a cloud in the sky :disco: It’s supposed to snow here tonight and I’m hoping there’s enough to get snowed in as I’m on sevens at work tomorrow :santa:

I also feel like I am getting a DISGUSTING COLD coming on. Throat is like razor blades and my nose is starting to run. I have to head out for a Christmas Day out with friends today before I head back to Ireland on Monday and all I want to do is cozy up in the house.

I;ve gone off the snow now that the delivery window has passed for the vinyl I was due to receive this morning. :(

I have a hangover and Mr Ag has a cold.

That said I'm feeling really positive at the moment. My red wine hangover is mild, and we've basically just enhaled two garlic, onion and olive foccacias. Mr Ag is making slow cooker hot chocolate. I'm out tonight and although I've not bought all my presents, I do know exactly what I'm getting everyone.

I also worked most the week so I GOT MONEY.

I'm also feeling really positive for next year. I think I'm gonna seek permenant employment at the school I've been subbing at. Plus we have two holidays lined up.

Honestly I’m just reminding myself there’s a lot of food involved to soothe my soul :D
It isn't named The Traffic Centre for nothing, no amount of delicious food could entice me to venture there in December, not even two-bite cinnamon rolls and ducky pancakes from Costco round the corner! :D

Last time I went I took my mum with me and she wouldn't let me browse the Teslas. Then on the way home my car overheated thanks to crawling over Barton Bridge at 2mph and we ended up stranded at RHS Worsley where the lovely ladies in the cafe supplied us with four litres of tap water so I could limp the car to my mechanic.

There’s much worse places to be stranded than Worsley at least!

It was fortuitous that I'd stopped at the traffic lights on millionaire's row when suddenly there were sirens and lights all over the dashboard so I was able to just turn left and let it roll down the hill to where I could safely inspect it. I'm not sure they'd have been as helpful if my mum hadn't shown her RHS membership card though!

But yes, better there than Boothstown.

The sun had burned through the mist finally. Clear blue sky and a positively balmy -1°c.

Think I might wander down to the shops. We've got a fridge and freezer full of food, but for some reason I'm craving an evening of nachos, dips and crap TV.

Don't do it. It's bitterly cold, you won't make it :(

The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious.

It's bitterly cold out. My hangover is stagnant. I think I have a good two hours before I'm leaving the house.

My cold finally seems to be on the backfoot. I did my run, went for apple pie and coffee and had my parents round for an hour or two after a frantic tidy of the apartment.

Going to pop over to theirs for dinner and an episode of The Crown.
