Oh what a beautiful Monday

It's been three weeks that I haven't been to the office. To my surprise, while still leaving home at the usual time, the sun was fully up! Summer is here! *shakes tits*

Bright here too. Bit too bright to be honest, probably time to go back to contact lenses so I can wear sunnies when I need to.

FUCKING SICK OF IT

Keith needs to take a wander down to Brighton Pier and have a DANCE. Cheer up, mate!

I struggled to get a new cardi recently, much to my chagrin. I don't want one that stops at my elbows thanks, full sleeves please!

Just casually pissing it down here. Welcome back to Ireland. 🇮🇪

I do love a chunky sweater but draw the line at cardigans.

A cardi lets you wear yr band merch tho'.

Yes, I know, I still wear band t-shirts at 50, I'm not stopping now.

I have no judgements whatsoever on wearing band T-shirts at 50. I’m just not ready to be my grandmother just yet, she LOVED a cardi. Usually with an apron on top and half a pack of used Kleenex up her sleeve.

I'm currently on my local council website looking at BIN COLLECTION TIMES. Cos I'm a grown up living in a house now.

How is any normal person supposed to remember every Tuesday night to wheel out a BIN? And not any bin but a CERTAIN COLOURED BIN. Because DON'T USE THE GREEN ONE WHEN IT'S BLUE DAY.

What is this SORCERY?

Make note: buy calendar for kitchen.

Were you just throwing your trash out at random times in the past?

Yeah apartments just have communal bins that you use. No idea when the lorries come. Now I have to manage my OWN BINS.

Life can be so stressful.

This is why i’m so happy I can just leave them all in the @GNL

I have lived in this house for twenty years. Bin day has always been Friday. Every Thursday night I have to go on the council website to see whether it's the black bin or the recycling bins (green, cream and maroon) this week because I can't remember which bin(s) I brought back in last Friday.

It's no good looking to see what the other neighbours have put out because they all wait for me I reckon!

Binfluencer

Someone who puts the bins out in alignment with what kind of bin is going to be collected that week and helps the whole street put the right bin out.
“Went to put the bins out but don’t know whether it’s recycling or green waste because the Binfluencer ain’t binfluenced yet”

@Funky, find yours. Mr L is ours. The neighbours depend on him.

I get an email reminder from the council ! Check on their website ?

I think I'd lose my shit if I had the council emailing me about my bins

It would make a lot more sense if there was CONSISTENCY on what could be recycled in what bin across the country.

Maybe THAT could turn it around for the Tories :o

When I was in my flat a couple of years ago each flat had there own separate bins (bear in mind there were about nine flats in this building). It was CHAOS.

We have the extra large communal bins, 2 normal and 2 recycling and a food bin, for 11 flats.

Annoyingly our bin men are useless and won't come up the drive if there's more than about 2 cars on it, so we sometimes go a few weeks without them being emptied. But it does at least mean we never have to wheel our bins out for collection.

#Bingate is a huge issue.

I can’t believe I have all this drama to look forward to.

Coincidentally I met my first neighbour today and he had me stood chatting about the history of the driveways in our road for 20 minutes. Convinced already that he’s my binfluencer.

What were you cooking earlier tonight @Alex ? Was it cookies?

Yes, i’ve adapted a recipe to make pistachio and white chocolate. Hopefully they come out ok, I never really DARE making something up myself when it comes to baking so may be a disaster. We’ll see when I bake them in the morning !

Love having communal bins, we always forgot to put them out until bed time/first thing in the morning when we heard the bin lorry.

We get a black bin for those. Well, assuming you mean plastic bottles. If it's glass, then it's the green bin.
Glass and plastic bottles and jars all go in the maroon bin. Green bin is for kitchen and garden waste, cream bin is for paper and card and the black bin is for anything that doesn't go in the three other bins.
