Good Morning my loves,

I switched on the tv to find NADINE DORRIES taking about today’s top stories. 🤢 I am thoroughly enjoying Ashley James’s obvious DISGUST of her though.

Anyway, off it goes and I’ll catch up with last nights CBB.

I am feeling somewhat human for the first time in two weeks, seems like I came down with a MYSTERY BUG which when I described the symptoms to my mother she concluded that I was going through menopause. :MaddieConfused:

The sun's out and I've had a sexy haircut so my mood's completely lifted (although Iguana seems to be coming down with it now or course :BList:

After a lovely day yesterday, I missed a call about work this morning. And then I was awoken to discover they're digging up the front of our house today to lay new gas pipes so I've evacuated to my parents house. I have no interest in that shit.

Stuck with my father, as mother dearest is off out on a social. Gonna slap some Eurovision songs for him on for the boomer review (he enjoys Eurovision, I'm not just being terrible).

How is your Dad doing? Am I right in saying he has Alzheimer’s/dementia?

Well it never gets better. He's playing Wordle at the moment, so right now fine.

He's the least bad I've seen him for a while. I think he gets overwhelmed at bigger family gatherings.

Yes I have been through it a lot with family over the years. It’s the long goodbye. It seems like it is progressing quite slowly which I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing? How is your mum coping?

It's not going especially fast I have to say. On balance I'd say it's better that he's alive and knows who we all are.

My mum struggles, she has a plethora of physical issues herself. She seems to have got her shit together recently, so that's positive. Although my brother going through cancer in China doesn't help.

I always think it must be terribly hard for the spouse looking in on it having been with them for so many years and watching them fade as well as questioning their own mortality. Your brother going through cancer at the other side of the World coupled with your father and her own ailing health must be incredibly hard for her. 😔

Morning Moopy.

I'm off today and have so far changed the bedding, done the washing and cleaned the flat.

Now it's time for Home and Away.

Also I think one of my friends is ignoring me because I told her my mum wouldn't be able to give her and her sister a lift to something we're all going to because my mum's car is tiny and old and can't really have more than 1 person in the back. Plus they're both super large.

I guess I'm the bad guy tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

I didn't even fat shame, I just said "my mum's car can't take 2 people in the back". And then I may have said "and your sister is particularly large"...but only because my friend is always saying how huge she is, I mean we're talking a size 28-30, my mum only has a Fiat 500.

You have a point.

Hello. The morning kinda flew past and now I have a lot to do.

*moops, mindful of the last POTW**

I've decided I want to go live and work on a remote island, like Lundy, or one off of Scotland.

I wonder how hard it is to apply 🤔

I'm watching Four In A Bed season 10. Pretty sure it's early evening TV - I never watched it live so can't say. I think daytime TV needs a big shake-up. Bring back Exclusive (1997-2002) with Julia Bradbury and Mark Eccleston I say.

Have you been to Lundy? I had a day there about 20 years ago. That was enough for several lifetimes.

Welcome to the world of never ending bugs the children bring home from school :zombie:

I rarely caught anything when spawn was little, nor did Mr F, we used to put it down to the prison germs and school germs making us stronger but now all I have to do is look at a buboe-ridden rugrat the wrong way and I'm ill for weeks!

I thought with my work I'd have a really good immune system, but evidently not against kids bugs!

Isn't Lundy just a decaying old lighthouse and WIND? Is there even 3G?
Barely

It looks very pretty like that in the sunshine, but one assumes that when USUAL WEATHER forbids any mainland supplies, one must resort to hunting the puffins for food
