Is the only real LOL entry this year not Estonia? At least that now should be safely buried.
 
The lazy producers need shooting though. Give us a proper reprise.

I was sort of right, but the Swedes had to ferry in the Finns to get what they wanted.

I think they’ve got a good shot at top 3 with the televote, but I don’t think the juries will go for it.
 
Fun fact: Assuming KAJ don’t translate, the Swedish language will have appeared twice on the ESC stage this century, both times thanks to Finns.
 
Måns losing the televote to 3 men singing last is a nice repeat from ESC 2015 :)

Obvs I’d have preferred Klara, but I enjoy this one in its own right and I just love that it’s not Måns’ basic non-banger
 
Apparently Mans is kicking off to press complaining the juries awarded other acts more than he predicted and he thought the juries were professionals :eyes:

A STATEMENT ON TONIGHT’S EVENTS

I am dressed as @Suomi and have had a wonderful night.

I don’t know if @Sheena and @dUb will agree, but I’ve felt like KAJ were taking it since I got here; I’ve never known the Swedes to be galvanised behind a song to this extent and any other result would have been a robbery.

I hope Grezcula reads the room after his DISMAL FLOP third place and never darkens the contest again.

I hope Klara and Dolly Style become folk heroes after their OVERWHELMINGLY SUCCESSFUL 4th and 5th places and come back many times.

Mans fleeing the green room and apparently having a tantrum during an interview is not a great look. He comes across very entitled, which is in keeping with his ‘I’ve got a friend who comes to tea’ stage school shithousery.

10/10 night, 10/10 winner. I am now in bed because I want to be up early for a good rummage around Dressmann.
 
Just got in and caught up. Not my favourite song, but totally here for Sweden doing something different. Also for Klara and my Dolly girls getting top five.

Scarlet though a bit of a shit result, and no Victoria really was felt :(
 
What a set of fantastic results!

One of KAJ (I’ll let you guess who) reminds me of an ex and I’m here for it cause the sex was great.
 
It sounds like a few of last night’s acts are being snide about KAJ winning. It all feels very disrespectful and has took some of the shine off what I thought was a fantastic final.
 
Jon Lundvik appears to have been much more critical/bitter than Måns. He claimed Melfest has become 'a tiktok competition where the songs don't matter'.

It’s interesting as it was her best entry for me and has been the biggest hit so far, right? So I do agree with her point as it never felt like it even had a tiny bit of momentum, despite it obviously outperforming what it did in the heat. I think that shows there’s some truth there, but also I just don’t think the performance was on a level with the top two.

I’m also annoyed at that photo being used in a clickbaity way. He had his head in his hands in anticipation, not after the result came out. And he laughed, waved, and applauded the winner. It certainly wasn’t a “head in hands” moment at all and, as I said yesterday, he seemed to take it in good spirits.
 
I did think a lot of the writing this year, and especially that interval act, was Edward Af Sillen being very POINTED about the way the songs are chosen now :D

Their return is ridiculously overdue at this point. All we need is three more MINUTES OF LOVE from the girls.
