Many people are now recognising this as the greatest song of all time and making mourning plans as Sweden look set to not do likewise.

Max points from the tickle torture fetishist demoscopic jury.

I wish the staging was better realised. It’s ten times the song Revolution is, but the staging just doesn’t give Eurovision/Melfest winner.

:(

I always try to avoid getting into Melodifestivalen - pay it no attention, just listen to the winning song etc - as I worried I'd get too invested and end up FUCKING FURIOUS some years at my own perceived miscarriages of justice.

This year I dipped a toe into watching some of the YouTubes and now here I am, bereft and QUITE FUCKING FURIOUS that Måns' subpar song with impressive-but-nonsensical overcompensatory staging will likely dash any chance of this delightful banger going to Basel

And neither are a patch on HUSH HUSH!

Hush Hush (Meria) is only my 2nd favourite Scandipop song called Hush Hush after this lush lush gem:

A Eurovision alumni of course:

0:00 - Klara Hammarström wakes up after a wild night out in Athens atop a crumbled pillar. She is disoriented. Her heart is on her sleeve. She vows, hungover, to keep on fighting for what she believes in, because it's the only way she can feel alive. But should she carry on with her modelling, or focus on her charity work in Africa?

0:58 - Klara's heart is beating, and so is the voting heart. Nearby, a group of homosexuals begin to molest her, desperate for her reflected glory during a time of glamour poverty (Melodifestivalen 2025)

1:14 - the chorus has begun and the gays have disappeared. Klara has realised the important thing right now is neither her modelling nor her charity work, but the man she loves. The love will go on, and on, and on. There is room on the door for the both of us

1:31 - the gays have thoughtfully reappeared in time for the second verse, summoned by the clarion call of Cazzi Opeia. They begin to perform a cult ritual ceremony around her and the plinth, recognising Klara as their new goddess replacing the one who they worshipped before, Ivi Adamou

1:51 - Klara briefly contemplates running and running and running for President. The gays push her plinth to the back of the stage to contain her brief disturbed megalomania: she must be kept a liminal deity unsullied by earthly concerns!

2:00 - the gays agree to accompany Klara in a sinister forward march for the undeniable chorus. She crooks her head as she reminds her lover that now her heart is beating, should he even begin to doubt how serious she is about this (she loves being intimidating)

2:13 - DEFCON 5. The apocalypse is commencing (Måns has been provoked by the performance so far into remembering he is competing two heats later, and has put in a call to his stage director). Gays begin scurrying for dear life across the floor to G-A-Y Late.

2:21 - Klara Hammarström is lying on the floor and cannot get up. She is surrounded by clocks reminding her that a friend's birthday drinks she was meant to go to started an hour ago, she hasn't even started getting washed and ready yet, and there's a tube strike on/no DLR today. All hope is beginning to look like it is lost... but still, Klara's heart is beating...

2:39 - the gays return to her aid to help her get up. Their deity must be helped in her final moment of need. Klara must make it to Dotter's birthday drinks/come top two at Melfest

2:51 - the final chorus begins its final march. You can't stop progress!

2:56 - LIVET BÖRJAR HÄR OCH NU! I! DAG! FINNS! BA! RA! JAG! OCH! DU!

3:00 - Klara Hammarström has once again failed to win Melodifestivalen / the Eurovision Song Contest.

I’d like to give a special mention to the person “WHOOO”-ing into the quiet bit at 2:58 before it all revs up again (aka the loudest live vocal of the final minute :bruised:).

Can’t unhear it even in the studio version.
