Big Brother: Week 6

Just caught up with the main show. Late and Live with the winner's interview (WTF) can wait. Satisfied with the result, though would have had Yinrun better than fourth. Olivia's interview was very good.

Jordan complaining about his exit music felt very on brand. Also just clocked the 'puuleese do not swuuuar' sign.

I've greatly enjoyed having this back, and six weeks felt about right. Bring on the celeb version :disco:

I didn’t get to watch tonight but overall I think I’m very happy with that final 5. All of them brought something to the house and were interesting in different ways. Think I wanted a Yinrun win overall, but certainly not completely disappointed with the final outcome.

I agree 6 weeks is a good length - I think that's partly why I didn't end up watching some of the previous seasons on 5. It also means we don't need to get an array of new contestants half way through the season iof they cast it right in the first place. Makes for a better and fairer playing field.

I thought it was the perfect length, it didn’t drag at any point, and all the storylines seemed to naturally wrap up towards the end.

Has anyone seen ratings figures for the final? All I've seen is this, which is really poor indeed across both ITV1 and ITV2, if true. It's less than the majority of episodes in the charts I've posted got on ITV2 alone. Did people just massively lose interest after Trish left?

You'd think Broadcast would be reliable, but the whole article is behind a paywall.

Actually, I've made a mistake. It is below what the shows were getting on ITV2 alone INCLUDING catch up, but not excluding it - which this overnight figure obviously does. It's actually slightly up on the ITV2 only overnight figures.

I still think 1.2m for a simulcast final is poor though.

I remember reading the final ratings were the best since Paul and Dylan were evicted.

You would think they might think better of the simulcast in future though.
