Theatre producer, occasional film producer, chair of Everton, long term partner of actress Jenny Seagrove and ex-husband of Anouska Hempel. But I probably remember him most as a judge on Any Dream Will Do and as a talking head on various shows.

I was just reading he was in that as well. I can certainly remember Betty referring to a son, but don't remember actually seeing him.

I feel kinda bad that his remaining years were spent being hounded out of Everton by the fans. I don’t know why he didn’t retire a decade ago and just enjoyed himself.
