Also, I want to draw attention to my favourite gaming music moment, possibly ever, from the FF7 remake. The GAY GASP when it went from the lovely enough orchestral version to the proper TITS OUT BANGER BATTLE THEME we all know and love

the synthesizers and the trumpets of this theme, totally didn't fit the game but it was POPPY BRILLIANCE. Probably factored into her being one of my characters of choice in Alpha 2.

It did fit Capcom's colourful era from the late 90s and early 00s, where everything they did was excellent and the aesthetic was vibrant and fun.

Late 90s Capcom is my video game happy place.

I used to play Street Fighter Alpha 2 all the time at the arcade, I think I got the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology Collection almost immediately when it first came out on PS2.
