Really good. Not sure why she was only a one hit wonder given she was around in the era of the Sheryls and Alanises and Sarahs and Paulas and this was a great launchpad. She also had a great voice.

One of the best songs of all time. And I don’t even believe in god.

I love her voice so much. The album just didn't have anymore singles after the gorgeously haunting St. Teresa. The very belated follow-up album steered her right back to the bar singer direction she started out in (although I do have a soft spot for Grand Illusion). Maybe she wasn't that bothered about having hits, but she absolutely has the IT factor and that voice should have defined the decade more than on just one song (the Edyta Gorniak original One & One has always seemed very Joan to me for example). Osborne reconnected with her Relish collaborators on the very fine album Little Wild One, but the chance to have any meaningful success for her was over.

Ruined by being a bit too God squaddy. Save it for Sunday school, Joan.
