Overall I would give Madame X 8/10 as an album.
It would be a mid-tier Madgette album for me. Her best since Confessions but obviously not up there with the greats.
Still, the fire is clearly there and I hope that if she does release a new album at some point then she will continue in this artistic vein.

Easily her best album since Confessions for me. It's so much more satisfying than any of the others, even if it doesn't have the highs. I'd probably go for a 4/5 - I think it's possibly not quite that strong, but it's definitely a rounded up 3.5 at least.
