Dry week for me. There's a new (properly sanctioned) live album from The Fall but they're late mailing out the physicals so I won't have that until next week.

I've really not seen much buzz about the Arcade Fire album. I assume the Win Butler accusations have pretty much killed them.

*Watches as they storm to number one in the sharts next week*

Just bought the Bananarama DVD which is earmarked with a bottle of wine if my plans to avoid people and have a sofa evening tomorrow come to fruition. OCD me is glad it’s in cd sized and shaped packaging so can be neatly stored with the CD collection.

Might have listened to Dorothy but decided nah when I heard it was uninspired country rock.

Preordered the new Tanita Tikaram album ‘LIAR (Love Is Not A Right)’ which she’s billing as a sequel to ‘Ancient Heart’. It’s due on October 10th. The piano refrain from the first single has definitely lodged itself in my brain.

There's the usual array of vinyl editions so the remainder of their fan base should be enough to do something. But yeah, very muted response thus far and quite right too.

That's true - probably a 3-92-OUT run

The few reviews are not glowing. I have no sense for how much is genuinely the music, and how much because people don't WANT to like them anymore. But it definitely feels a little bit reminiscent of Ryan Adams, who went down a similarly morose self-pitying route with his music post-scandal.
