Phillip Schofield's Career DEAD? 🤷‍♀️ The Castaway Years

Although I am not sure the blame lies solely at ITV’s door. I would say the UK press are the ones mainly with blood on their hands.
Exactly - the likes of the Mail and GB News just do not know where to stop. See the Jan Moir piece today if you dare.

Dan Wootton isn’t even particularly good at his job and doesn’t seem to be well liked anywhere. If true, why would anyone protect him?

Presumably it's a case of employers protecting themselves from legal action rather than him specifically.

The whole of that Private Eye extract is interesting. A Mail reporter dismissed for an inappropriate relationship with a younger mentee and the Mail said it would be 'deeply unfair' to report on it? Oh aye

He's a charmless tumour spitting pus, but he ended up as executive editor of The Sun and is now a lead Mail Online columnist and the main / better-rated GB News presenter, so he's clearly in with - and useful to - various SHADY FORCES. If any of what Private Eye says is true I could understand why it's unlikely he'd be cut adrift so easily - both for his supposed usefulness, and for what else he might know.

Of course I don't think that but I just do not buy him. This is all just "Oh you say that Phil, you just say this Holly" etc. Its phoney as fuck and he'll be back on tv in about a year presenting something else

TODAY'S NEWS IS TOMORROW'S CHIP PAPER

What does Holly really bring to the table? A nice little angelic face and that's about it

A greedy cow who is just interested in making more and more money until the day she retires

Well I’m sure Inner Smile will have had a lot to say about Holly’s speech at the beginning of This Morning.

I thought this was really genuine (and not at all "phony", not that I'd ever deploy such an inane word to describe somebody going through a complex series of emotions) and well handled.

I know some here are convinced Holly knew everything all along but I'm not sure it matters. it probably couldn't have been addressed on air any better than this.

Yes it was very well constructed. Didn’t really say much of anything but conveyed the key messages of “I knew nothing,” “I still care about Phil because I’m nice” and “let’s all move on now” very concisely and effectively.
