And the people he talks to are undoubtedly better informed than any old Rod, Jane and Freddy.

This will be "off the record" information given to him which he has to report in this way.

You take your narrative and I’ll take mine. What you posted is as kosher as any other “source” and is not necessarily true. I don’t believe ITV would offer him IACGMOOH off the back of what happened. His article said that he REPORTEDLY turned down other shows. We don’t know what those shows were and you posting that article is NOT evidence to your point.

Not sure if we can quote certain regions of the tabloids these days and I don’t particularly want to but direct quotes from his new channel 5 programme make him sound as unbearable and entitled as what got him in to this mess in the first place. Oh dear.

I think it depends which one. The Sun's coverage seems quite PRO-SCHOFE, whereas the Mail Online today are v anti him and spoke of there being a backlash to the C5 show, which I don't think is especially true.

If he'd given his exclusive interview to the Mail last year rather than The Sun it probs would be the other way round

I didn’t actually read the whole thing but it was The Sun I noticed and it seems very much the blame game.

When was the last time anyone actually tuned in to watch something on Channel 5? I think it was when House was on, which was what? 2005?

Channel 5 is pretty much on a par with 4 in the ratings these days.

I must say to the surprise of absolutely no one I am very fond of a Channel 5 drama.
