My mother has a copy; she's not religious, a Cliff fan, and would only have been in her 30's at the time.

She does sadly read the DAILY HATEMAIL, and that was the main demographic.

I recall them kicking up a major stink at the BBC because Radio 1 hadn't playlisted a 60 year old man singing the Lords Prayer.

Sadly I can't find the OFFICIAL VIDEO online, but I seem to remember a heavy use of GREEN SCREEN.

There is however this UNBEARABLY SMUG Top Of The Pops performance, where Sir Cliff REALLY seems to feel like he's DONE SOMETHING (which I guess he did given that it was a multi-week number one smash )
