Is this from the same upcoming album as FOTN? Cuz that's 10/10 and this sounds like it's going to be even better.

This is great, not as obvious as Freedom but I think I like it better on first listen. Sophie seems to be very much in a DISCO SPACE and I am here for it.

Ready to declare this to be her most :disco: release since Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer. I really hope we get a video.

Also a bit weird that Radio 2 still haven’t picked it up, though I assume they will at some point.

It made New Music Friday, but I'm unclear on whether this is a proper single or an instant grat. Seems a shame to drop Relentless Love so quickly.
 
She referred to it as her 'next song' on instagram, for whatever that's worth.

What’s happening with the album? Did I imagine a preorder at one time or was that tour announcement related? Odd there’s nothing in place now three tracks in.
 
I like this and suspect it’ll grow, but poor Sophie is just never going to sound convincing to me singing lyrics as dumb as “You got me like swirling whirling down upside” :D

It was a tour tickets/placeholder album preorder with release date TBC thing.

With Vertigo following so hot on the heels of Relentless Love you would think that an album announcement is due, unless Sophie is following the JADE model.
 
Good news on the album announcement, but is everything OK in SEB world? The material is great but the releases are starting to feel a bit random and haphazard. I don’t think either Relentless Love or Vertigo have had any Radio 2 support to date, which is weird for her (I'm still not 100% clear on which one was supposed to be the proper single). No videos since Freedom of the Night either. I do hope she's not getting screwed around now that she's back on a major label again.
 
Is the dwindling Radio 2 support actually that surprising? I'd assume they'd be always be more engaged with indie-pop Sophie vs disco Sophie, even if that's in opposition to her traditional fanbase.

And it's maybe a few months past the point where she can just still ride on the Saltburn wave sadly.
 
They all seem a bit more like instant grat tracks with how quick they are coming.

I’d assume any being pushed as a single (and sent to radio) will easily get Radio 2 playlisting. I assume Freedom did?

Nothing to worry about, it’s just how things work these days.
 
Yeah, I’d expect there to be something more concrete in place after the album announcement leading up to the tour dates. Hopefully the label will push it more then, not that I’m up to date with how these things work.
