Seriously, this is basically my favourite reality tv show now - it’s the Genius Game but better. I love the way it has the main game show but then side quests that emerge… the moment towards the end of Season 1 where two contestants found the secret room got me more excited than most drama shows - I remember my heart racing massively and series 2 has already delivered a couple of moments that head towards that territory (loved the end of episode 4 cliffhanger).

The main matches are always brilliantly complex, the prison matches in season 2 have been really tense, and I love the editing with the flashes forward and back.

I have two gripes - one is on me and one is on the show. Firstly, I try so so hard to work out who is who but I really struggle to differentiate some of the players - am I a massive racist? (I was so pleased when one of the players mixed up two of the girls this season because it made me feel less racist - if the Korean players mess it up too then I feel better about it). Secondly, I really wish they would use civilians and not celebrities - even though they are not famous to me, I just prefer it that way then the players aren’t overawed by the massive Go champions and things like that.

But overall it’s just a brilliant tv show - looking forward to the next batch of episodes on Tuesday.

I didn’t mind it being that in season 1 because clearly they didn’t really know the game - clearly a very western game. I don’t think it will be. More likely to be some kind of variation of this knight’s move game or something…

Wonder what that girl failed at to get herself eliminated in episode 2. I think it might have not been the knight’s move game.
