Super talented triple threat
I hope dUb had the same vitriol towards Little Mix for their Ugly Heart rip-off.
Please see the latest TGPL for a rant on this very topicI hope dUb had the same vitriol towards Little Mix for their Ugly Heart rip-off.
That’s basically what I saidSix is pretty decent. Don't let the wicked Irishman convince anyone otherwise
I like a good chunk of the Six cast recording (and fucking love the title song) but I've no urge to go and see it coz it's just that sung through concert style, right?
(Although as it turns out there are some talky bits in this show.)
And we don't call them soundtracks in musical theatre, darling!
Oy, Mista! You fick or summin'?Which is my point... so it's the same as any other musical..
Speaking of Six (which I LOVE) I didn't get around to the writing duo's follow-up which I was kind of sad about but having just watched the Olivier performance my FOMO is cured.
Doesn’t Titanique do most of that too? Just without the terrible hair.We saw it.
It was a 7/10 and that’s not a great score considering it was basically made for our demographic- mid 30s LGBT. I actually wondered throughout how the older straights were holding up (I’m forever an empath) as so much of the content referenced things that would only be an experience for those of us who used MSN Messenger and know that Kelle Bryan was fired by fax.
Still, it was kinda nice in this climate to see a musical like that out on display.
It does, but Titanique is a juggernaut in comparison in terms of pace and humour.Doesn’t Titanique do most of that too? Just without the terrible hair.
Ah, OK. For a two-hander, Two Strangers Carry A Cake was excellent, and that was clearly well developed before transferring to the West End.It does, but Titanique is a juggernaut in comparison in terms of pace and humour.
Why Am I So Single? is basically just two friends talking on a couch.
The music is really incredible (and is what Benjamin Button should have been had they done it properly), but the story totally went over my head and I wasn’t really invested in it. I think I need to see it again, but I’m not in any rush right now.I'm seeing 'Hadestown' tomorrow night, don't know much about it other than it being based around a Greek myth, and that it got loads of Tony Awards noms/wins. Is it one that anyone else has seen?
This was not good. At all. But my friend liked it for some reason. This is out now away from the West End, for something a bit leftfield. I’m seeing it next week:

Can you be more specific in your warning - this would be my nightmareIt’s FANTASTIC.
Careful where you sit though because random members of the audience are picked to play certain roles. I had to play DIANA’S DAD.
An HONOUR !I got dragged on stage in front of a whole theatre to be psychoanalysed by Myra Dubois
Twice
@jivafox was it random audience or front row/aisle seats that got chosen?I'd like to see the Diana Untold thing when it's on here in June, but I can't watch anything with audience participation. I'll spend the entire time in abject fear. When I was selected at that children's magician show last year I just got up and left and apparently ruined his second half. That'll teach him (and me).
