Timaru. How exotic

My sister-in-law emigrated to there about 4 years ago.

It's pretty run-of-the-mill as a town but they do have penguins.

Oh it’s a nice little place, if rather uneventful - though with Christchurch within an hour and a half I guess you still have access to a (relatively) big city.

It’s just quite odd - there’s about three of four people I know that have a friend/relative that has moved there from the UK or Australia (usually after marrying a local) - it is just such a strange place to me for so many people to end up given it’s not really known!
