Yes, I did. It would be pure poetry if it does peak at number 2 as it was released on 22.2.22, was performed as song number 22 and finished in position number 2.
His first live performance was on the One Show which had unexpectedly been moved to BBC Two that night.

Also the contest was streamed a record 2.22m times on iPlayer in the first 2 days.

(thanks BBC press office)

So it was the Two Show? :o

I know I said the public can't be trusted, but I think one very attractive possibility would be having an old style selection contest where the public picks from 6 R SAM songs

IT WORKED FOR LULU :disco:

Public couldn’t even get it right the last time we did that. Justice for Frances Rufelle’s Sink or Swim.

Harry’s back at #1 today on Spotify so I suspect he’ll hang on. Sam only down to #2 though.

Yeah I’d say thats likely. He is only just behind though and ahead on Apple on iTunes so he may be keeping pace today, but I’d say Wednesday and Thursday will see him drop behind. But #2 would be such a result.

I mean we can’t all stay GLUED TO BBC NEWS waiting on THE NEXT HIGH PROFILE DEATH to report on Moopy. :wownic:

Sadly I don't think #2 is guaranteed by any means. Both Jack Harlow and Lizzo increased sales (Lizzo spectacularly so) last week while Styles is in decline, so I don't think they will be THAT far behind him.

He's lost over 25% of his streams over the last two days. If continues at the same rate he'll be low top ten by Friday (so Thursday's streams).

His sales lead is showing no sign of narrowing though, and that's without the new version.

He is slipping on streams but he is doing very well on sales, with five versions top twenty on iTunes, sold out of CD singles and doing a great job at mobilising people to actually buy as opposed to stream. I'd still slightly favour Harry to get the number one spot, but at this stage I'd feel fairly comfortable predicting he'll be top two.

I'm not a massive fan of the guitar version in the end but I've bought both versions anyway. Go R Sam!

I'm not going to go as far as paying for it, but I have been sure to stream it several times daily.

I noticed Sam got televotes from 35 of countries eligible to vote for the UK and the ones which did not are all former Yugoslav states.

Remains #4 on Spotify today, although streams fell over 40k. He's about as close to the #20 now as he is to Harry Styles at #1.

#3 on Apple Music.

Still outselling Harry Styles by about 5:1 on iTunes, though.

An album with a 14th October release date:

What a nice chap:

Apparently his lead was only 53 sales in today’s update, which unfortunately makes it virtually impossible that he’ll hold on.

He’s done pretty well to cling on since the last update since his lead was already down to triple figures

Sam is surely going to have the biggest career post Eurovision since Celine.
!!

Well I’m not sure we are quite there yet, if you’re talking about all Eurovision entrants

That said, how’s is he doing on the global hit parades? I know at least Chanel is flattening everyone on YouTube

Nah.... :D :D . UK wise yes, he'll probably get more mileage out of this than anyone post Katrina, but Internationally I expect things to be more limited.
