ASFM Iguanavision II - the RESULTS!

My midtable finish was better than I'd feared during the results but of course I'd hoped for more. Anyway thanks @Iguana for another great show!
 
For the record, I really liked my entry and I was hoping it would resonate since most of us are the same generation. It’s basically a sort of Basement Jaxx / Chemical Brothers more commercial moment, I was so excited when I found it.

Oh diddy, yes at those influences. It was hot plume of the best of MTV Dance 1999. That it was only just on my scorecard is a testament to how much I genuinely loved this round (Pheonix also delivered a corker and I just couldn't find the spot for it).

I had never heard the Atlemos song before, or the Wet Leg one from Reet which is apparently also popular.

This was a very efficiently ran affair, well done @Iguana. Congratulations to @straightorbroken for winning this one. I didn’t give you any points for that one but I like your posts so it’s all good. I’m glad to have taken the Dum Dum Girls into the top 10, it’s encouraging to have something a bit different near the top. Although not necessarily better or worse I’m glad we still have a (somewhat) diverse range of tastes and posters taking part, the oddities keep it of interest to me.

I would love to host in the future but I'm concerned this month will be a CHALLENGE in terms of workload that I have coming up. The first week of August was already quite full on and I'm doing the weekend shirt today and tomorrow. :(

The Iveta really was to rub salt into @ButterTart's STOLEN ENTRY wound rather than volunteering - at least during the month of August.
