The White Lotus (HBO not so Limited Series)

You’re right, Essex guy is probably not his nephew at all, but is it not what Tanya thinks?

I'd take Albie's arse over Essex boy's personally, but it's nice that the show is keeping all the gays satisfied.

Yes, it had a better shape.

this theory is very interesting to me

I don't know if this ties into the dead body. but given Daphne's reaction when she finds it, we can probably assume it's not Cameron, Ethan or Harper?

it would be weird for her to casually go swimming if either of the other three had been missing for x hours, so I'd say it's unlikely it's one from their group

unless Daphne OFFS Cameron and goes home to the PT, I mean he's out of money anyway, right? he has a slight panic when she says she's rented a whole villa in Noto, he's also unable to stomp up the money for Lucia, and he's desperate for an investment from Ethan

I didn’t need Tanya finding the picture of her husband and the gay. Like by that point it was very obvious what was happening, it felt like them wanting to make sure that you really understand that it’s a scam.

I did think the love island guy did well in that last scene.

The campery of Tanya having her hair held back to hoover up the first line.

I'm glad she has hopefully got what she needs to now realise what is now happening.

"what are you trying to say...?"
"get your shit together, Portia" :disco:

I disagree, I wish I hadn’t read the speculations here because I wouldn’t have had connected the cowboy from Wyoming with Tanya’s husband.

yes, but presumably Quentin has set her up with the gigolo because there's an infidelity cause that would invalidate the pre-nup... she was stupid to continue even after finding the proof in the conveniently placed cowboy picture.

did Harper cheat with Cameron? I think not. but after he touched her leg at dinner the previous episode, it's hard to know. I do love how this show (mostly) leaves you guessing. this wasn't quite the classic last week's episode was, but so much tension has been built now. I'm GAGGING for the finale!!!

I think she was too fucked up to understand what was going on, she had just done a shit ton of coke.

i don’t think Harper slept with Cameron, you can see her deciding to fuck with Ethan after the morning chat. I thin Cameron is in a bad place financially and he really needs Ethan to invest with him, so he won’t go as far as that.

Yes, I was saying to someone earlier - asking if there may have been a camera. And absolutely at the rest.

omg :o

I'm so obsessed with everything about this show I just CANNOT

let's not even get INTO the theories about the TITLE CREDITS!

Tanya doing blow and partying with gays to noted Eurovision-adjacent banger CIAO CIAO :disco: Mike White knows his audience!

Speaking of the soundtrack, I’ve been trying to find out the song/music that was playing during the scene in Noto where Aubrey/Harper felt that she was followed/surrounded by men from the playlists on Spotify. It sounded a bit Greek. Does anyone know what song it is?

I'll post this in a spoiler tag even though it's just two screengrabs of a character's dress.

you may remember that the ep 3 scene was when Bert tells Portia about the Godfather scene where fiancé gets blown up in the car. and that's her dress that Tanya is wearing.

everything is a clue in this show, everything is deliberate, and I'm very concerned for the identity of the dead now.

That’s one of the best lines of the season, so happy for Valentina. What a queen!

I've watched the first three episodes of season 1 and I'm enjoying this. The soundtrack is amazing!

Oh wow. The peppa pig line instantly reminded me of an Italian guy I knew who said it about someone too and I had the same reaction miss Coolidge seems to have had. I wonder if it's quite big in Italy then.

Wait till the season 2 soundtrack hits.

HOLY SHIT :o

I really don't know how to feel about that.

On the one hand, I am devastated and infuriated

On the other... WHAT a way to go!

I do feel like in general it was a bit of an anticlimactic ending for basically everyone but Tanya, though.

I thought the boat scene was marvelous. Also Jennifer Coolidge did some proper acting during that phone call.

Albie is such a sad sack, he really infuriated me.

I think when you outlandishly kill off Tanya you have to balance it with more reserved White Lotus endings where unhappy couples stay together in fucked up relationships.

I don't necessarily MIND how it went down, but yeah, it felt like the Aubrey Plaza and Albie plotlines just amounted to nothing in the end, after all the delicious tension they'd built up.

I guess I wanted Harper to have been manipulating Ethan but also that scene at dinner with just the one tear falling off was lovely.

Same for Daphne and Ethan having that talk, it kinda encapsulates everything about Daphne and mirrors Rachel from the end of last season.

Oh and there was something profoundly sad about Portia and her helplessness. She’s not a spunky heroine just someone stuck with this sense of doom but she can’t do anything to stop it.

Well that is the career-defining role I will surely always associate with Jennifer coolidge from now on. Even whilst pushed to the absolute edge, her narcissism prevails - there were 2 lines where she even killed me.

omg the stress of trying to avoid spoilers on this today (I haven’t read the thread btw!)

I blocked every character name as well as White Lotus on twitter and I still got shit coming up! Thankfully nothing SPECIFIC.

OMG :(

For a second there I was happy that
it looked like Tanya was going to survive. What a way to go indeed. Her running around the boat made me laugh out loud. It’s going to be sad to have a new season without her but then again I’m not sure what more they could do with her.

Albie is really an idiot, even if money doesn’t seem a problem to them, how naive can he be? And his father too, even though he wanted to buy him off. And then to give Portia a second chance, I don’t think she deserves it.

Gutted Tanya ended up dead but what an episode for her :disco:

“He was kinda…. Fucking his uncle”

Going out in a blaze of bullets then tripping off the boat and hitting her head :D

Every scene from her was a fucking masterclass!

OH GOD

So they actually were planning to off Tanya rather than triggering some infidelity clause in the pre-nup? Dark. At least Tan went out fighting and took most of them down.

I liked how things played out for the two couples, especially that scene with Daphne and Ethan before she lead him off into the bushes. Albie and Lucia didn't really surprise but had their place
