On the other hand, it all feels a bit lamb to the slaughter. Like they're just using her as convenient fodder until they can get an ACTUAL candidate for 2028, since good qualified candidates like Whitmer wouldn't touch this election with a cattle prod.
There's not going to be a 2028 election you stupid slut (if trump wins)

If she chooses a Senator, would it trigger an election for their seat?

Arizona is a classic swing state, not sure they’d want to risk pulling Kelly off the board. (Though the same is also true for Jon Ossoff)

every state has different rules, so I’m not sure what would happen in Arizona, but in Georgia the governor would choose a temporary senator and then there’d be a special election. Brian Kemp would probably choose someone who actually had a chance to win the special (because he’s not a Trump freak). So Jon Ossoff is a no go.

Arizona has a democratic governor, so it wouldn’t be as bad, but I still don’t think it’s worth the risk

Little throwback - we’ll surely be getting a lot more of Maya’s Kamala over the coming months :disco:

You forget she’s been a meme queen since long before the whole coconut tree thing took off.

Arizona would be fine - Martha McSally got appointed in 2018 and didn't have to fight an election until 2020

Actually I looked it up and it’s not a state thing so it would trigger a special election in Arizona

Pick from these.

Spoiler: there's no surprise Kesha, Jade, Charli, Kylie or even Ace of Base, which is least I would have expected.

I think it varies from state to state if there’s an election or if the governor can choose the replacement. I also think that if the VP nominee is a senator who isn’t up for re-election this year, they could go back to their senate seat if the Democrats were to lose the election. Although, of course, if that happens then we’re all going to die.

I’ve just noticed that Kamala is FIFTY NINE?:o:disco:
