Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso / Please x3 / Short n Sweet (album)

49 sales short of Espresso overtaking this week

I do like PPP, but it’d be nice to see the older one grab it back :disco:

I could listen to her speak all day long. (Kudos to her stylists because those bangs did not budge no matter WHAT!)

7th week at number one :disco:

I think it hits ACR this week but I imagine on album release in 5 odd weeks it’ll be back to the top ten.

Minipops perform "Morning Train" by Sheena Easton.

I feel like I am inside Huw Edwards’s WhatsApp.

Slim Pickins sounds absolutely lovely. a clear evolution from Please x3. love that she sings it fully live but I think the studio version with various adlibs and backing vox will be a treat :disco:

oh the album is EXCELLENT. not sure about Taste yet but Bed Chem (:disco:), Slim Pickins and Coincidence are great. Dumb & Poetic lyrically is like an update of Katy Perry's Ur So Gay. apparently it's about Shawn Mendes? :D

My order was dispatched yesterday, I'm assuming it'll arrive tomorrow. Given that the bonus track vinyl and the CD as a bundle cost LESS that the standard LP does in HMV, I decided it was worth it.

I quite like Taste. Don’t know if a need a whole album of this today, but the singles were still slamming after a spin afterwards :disco:

Coincidence was the first new one that really stood out. I'm getting Big Yellow Taxi, though your car drove from LA to her thighs is kind of a different mood.

Bed Chem works nicely as a slow jam accompaniment to Espresso, which is otherwise a bit of an outlier.

Liking Juno and Don't Smile too.

I've held off on buying it on physical until my FIRST LISTEN/STREAM PARTY

I'm listening now. I really like Taste... I think it'll be stuck in my head. Please Please Please remains stunning

I like it all so far. I'll need some more listens to distinguish more. I'm on Slim Pickins now and my favorites so far (beyond the 2 big singles) are Taste, Coincidence, and Bad Chem

When she isn’t channeling Joni or Kaci, the album is giving early 2000s r&b pop sex kitten. “Bed Chem” in particular :disco:

“Juno” is very Carly Rae

“Don’t Smile” is a nice surprise too
