Malta 2025: Miriana Conte - SERVING

Heaven Sent is absolutely the better, more competitive track.

I fear Kantera are probably going to walk this national selection, but for what it's worth Heaven Sent is leading on the hallowed MyEurovision scoreboard.

Aside, whatever happened to Malta's perennial national selection bridesmaid Brooke Borg? Has she given up and joined a cruise ship? :(

Never has Malta sounded so “You WILL vote for this!”

…although ironically that is exactly what Chiara was screaming while being dragged away, foaming at the mouth as they were dismantling the Moscow stage in 2009. :(

I'm team KANT, partly out of curiosity to see if there's any kind of EBU response if they did send it, but also because it's giving 2025 answer to Booty.

There is not a chance in hell that that’s getting to Eurovision untouched if it wins, so really what would be the point?

She is taking part in Malta's answer to San Remo (named Muzika Muzika, for some reason) for a coveted cash prize of 20,000€ :eyes: It takes place a month after MESC so it seems like artists there choose to do either one or the other. Here is some of the songs that were in it from recent editions which placed in the top 3:

it is the 17th May

I have had eleven white wines

The split screen is Finland - Erika Vikman - Ich Komme (I Am Arriving) and Malta - Kristy Spiteri - Heaven Sent

I am lying on the floor

Malta, from the public, you have received……….12,455 points. Malta has overtaken Finland by 1 point!

Kristy Spiteri screams: “I don’t deserve this!” From behind her Erika Vikman screams “You’re right!” and knocks her unconscious.

Erika Vikman runs onto the stage and sings Ich Komme (I Am Arriving) megamix which segues into Heaven Sent. At the end of the six minutes there is an announcement from the EBU that Erika did such a good job she has won with her megamix. Helsinki 2026!

Is it live from the Sarah Bonnici Centre for the Arts?

Love that there’ve clearly been about three high profile films partially shot in Malta in the past decade and this show is determined to MILK THEM DRY.

Hold on, BROOKE is coming in the interval act (and Mihai Trăistariu) :eyes:
