No Clue But I Ranked It

I need to see it live. Their other live performances on YouTube are very impressive.

Initially gut says potential for a really solid jury score with danger of being let down by a shitty televote.

I guess this is a stage song because I can’t see anyone wanting to listen to this otherwise.

We'll see, but it feels like a lot of bells and whistles to disguise the fact that there really isn't any kind of strong central hook at all. I'm not even sure the juries will really go for it.

That is incredibly musical theatre. And not even the big song that everyone goes home singing.

Well I think What... the... hell... just... HAPPENNNNNNNED, while not particularly melodic, is a decent, memorable hook.

Well that's the problem I have with it really. It's one line surrounded by a bunch of not-particularly pleasant noise (IMO).

Happy to be proven spectacularly wrong, but my tarot says bottom 5.

I quite like it. I'm not sure why they didn't just go with their existing schtick of "what if Taylor Swift could sing?" but I think how it performs will just come down to whether they sound good live and sweep up votes from those vox-obsessed jurors, or if it ends up being a vocal cacophony of wailing and oversinging.

I don’t hate it. I wish it was a little more cohesive and flowing - but perhaps it will work as a live performance. Thankfully the kantry music bits are kept to a minimum.

Betting markets haven’t responded well - moved from about 40 yesterday to 60 now.

I *think* I like it. It's not that I actively dislike it on first listen, just that it's about five songs, and I only like three of them.

Just realised two of the people on the song credits were responsible for Embers, which I think sums up how I feel about this rn.

What the hell just HAPPENNNNNNNS when someone LIGHTS UP THE ROOM!!! 🎺

I'd like it if the part that had the song title in (which is clearly meant to be the 'chorus') was actually any good.

Feels like another year on the right hand side. Juries (which tend to have one or two musical theatre understudy queens or the like on there) might be kind, but unless the performance is really impressive it feels a touch too much of a dog's dinner to really get much televote support.

It's a bit frustrating that we seem to be back to ploughing a path of having one element that is really obviously just not up to par each year. Who the fuck listened to that and thought at the end "yeah, that's a really good pop song"?

I assume the rest of the writers were involved in the Southport riots

I have heard a rumour that not only was the J that Julie 'Kill J' Aagaard killed in fact Judy Garland, but that she is also the sister of Jessie J.
