This is meant to be the ‘big’ pop one I think? I am quietly curious :disco:
 
I feel like her and Perrie are going to release an album with most of the songs released already!
 
She/her label have finally learned a lesson, clearly.

Fans can also pre-order FUFN's physical variants; it will be available in 7" vinyl, CD and cassette formats, which will drop the same day as its digital release.

Yes, I noticed the release dates yesterday. Clearly they are squarely aiming for a hit and immediate impact this time. And they would be foolish not to.

This should have been released after Angel Of My Dreams then the album though. Those buzz? singles in between were not up to much. Hopefully The Brits win and performance will help this because it so deserves to be hit.
 
I knew even before looking that RAYE had a hand in this. Some of the phrasing is so her.

It is great, hope it does the business.
 
this is good! better than Fantasy or Angel? not yet. but way better than the other two promo singles.

I feel the Brits have helped her to recover a bit. At least put her back in peoples mind, based on Angel doubling its streams since the performance - so if she has a shot this is it. I think the physicals are out this week, so fingers crossed for an easy top 40 at least. Just whether it takes off (even just a bit) and can become an actual long runner.
 
Relieved to say I found it much better on second listen than first.

The buzz singles were both terrible and hinted at a lack of quality control. I wonder if this was a rush back into the studio and record a hit job? Kind of sounds like it.
 
Was IT Girl a buzz single? How does that have more streams than Fantasy?

it and Midnight Cowboy were not designated singles, this has been the strategy all along.

and no this wasn't recorded last minute, she's been teasing it for months.
 
Yeah I think these days ‘buzz’ releases are actually a thing, as it is so easy to drop a song just to keep interest etc. It Girl did better than Fantasy because it seemed to appeal more for whatever reason, but it wasn’t an ‘official’ single with promo, video, performances etc like the other three are.
 
I do think the album should come soon. Winning the Brit and potentially this doing well is likely the most momentum she will have.

Not at all - I like her and this is a great song, easily her best, but the launch strategy after the first single has been a disaster.
 
I really like her, but I think this is the only one that has been very good since Angel Of My Dreams.
