Alok & Kylie Minogue - Last Night I Dreamt I Fell In Love

Alok is fucking hot but the track is trash, sorry. At least make it listenable trash and sample Depeche Mode again :disco:

I think she just stays in the mindset of it could all end at any time. She’s in her 50s and should be aged out of “pop star” territory but thankfully she’s managed to hang in there.

I understand it, in terms of needing to sell tickets, but I just kind of feel that she's somewhat diluted herself since Tension I.

For me the Tension II era has all been very much the music equivalent of Poundstretcher but that’s fine there’s bound to be an era I don’t enjoy. Hopefully after the tour we’ll get something a tad more interesting.

Given the lack of quality control that’s defined this era, I can’t help wondering just how bad the Joel Corry collab must have turned out to be for it never to have seen the light of day. :bruised:

Unless they’re saving it for Tension III

Yes I'm more than ready for that slightly more experimental direction she teased a while back.

When I first read on Facebook yesterday about a collaboration with Alok, I thought it was something with Alok Vaid-Menon the performance artist/poet/comedian/activist and was very intrigued. I lost about 90% interest when it became it was apparent it was some DJ I've never heard of and have no interest in, and the remaining 10% evaporated with the clip above.

It is better than it sounded from the clip but the PARPY BIT is so prominent it is mildly annoying.

I was thinking this, its ok its almost kinda good in term of what the track is, do we need this from Kylie after the Tension tour, NO! - REDUCTIVE!

As the physical has been released so late (and as the track was largely pretty much rubbished) the chart position is going to be even more based purely on physical sales, isn't it?

It had under 61k streams on 29th March, and presumably a significant chunk of those will be from outside the UK, as he has a big profile outside of it.

Why do they say things like this when it’s obviously not going to happen ?

Come on FUNKS, you're a MARKETING KINDA MAN- because it gives a headline in a world where "top ten is probably mostly the same as last week because we've fucked the charts beyond recognition" DOESN'T REALLY WORK.
